13 - 13Installation InstructionsProper Selection and Placement “ TS ” DerailCurves: Do not locate a derail on acurve where the wheels have a tendencyto bind against the opposite rail. Oncurved track put the derail on theoutside rail of the curve, ordering aright or a left accordingly.Installation InstructionsHayes Model “TS” Derail1. Place derail with graduate teethagainst tie or tie plate on gaugeside of rail.2. Adjust set screws on field side ofderail under rail head, so derailsits level. Tighten jam nuts.3. Hand tighten screw handle tosecure derail to rail head.4. Align lock holes under handle forapplying padlock.5.
