Industrie aufgrund seiner guten
Wirtschaftlichkeit ein allgemein
anerkanntes und weit verbreitetes
Verfahren. Durch Simulationen ist
es möglich bei der Entwicklung von
laserstrahlgeschweißten Hybridstrukturen
Entwicklungszeit und
Bemessungsansätze speziell
für tragende hybride Bauteile
sind zurzeit noch nicht verfügbar.
Insbesondere bei hybriden
Verbindungen fi ndet in und um
die Fügezone ein nur schwer vorhersagbarer
Spannungsausgleich
und daraus resultierende
Festigkeitssprünge in
der Fügezone erschweren das
Schweißen. Ziel des am BIAS,
Due to its economic advantages,
laser welding of hybrid materials is
a well-accepted and wide spread
joining method within the industry.
By applying simulation methods
in the development of laser welded
hybrid structures it is possible to
save a lot of costs and time. A complete
numerical model has not been
realized up to now. Advanced calculation
and measurement methods,
especially for hybride supporting
parts have not been developed
yet. Resulting from well-known
strength variations by the welding
procedure, i.e. high residual stresses
compared to local yield strength, an
unpredictable stress relieve occurs
in the vicinity of hybrid joints. In
practice, joining different materi-
als is diffi cult because of their differing
material properties and the
resulting jumps in strength within
the joint. Recently, a model
approach for evaluating quasi static
weld seam strength of laser welded
hybrid joints has been developed.
For this purpose, we use a coupled
process, microstructural and structural
simulation taking local metallurgical
properties and the development
of local weld seam geometry
into account. By this means it is
possible to evaluate the quality of
welding joints using a corresponding
modeling of the welding process.
Not only residual stresses as well as
strains after welding are relevant
parameters in order to estimate the
strength of the welding joint in this
in modellierten Zugversuchen.
Zunächst wurde die Nahtgeometrie
in 2D berechnet. Diese 2D
Geometrie wurde anschließend
in 3D extrudiert und für die thermomechanischen
Simulationen
erweitert (Bild 1a). Nach den thermomechanischen
Simulationen
erfolgte ein Mikrostruktur-Postprocessing
Festigkeiten. Anschließend wurde
model, but also local behavior of
the material during the tensile test
simulation. At fi rst, the geometry of
the welding seam was calculated
in a 2D-simulation. Results of this
calculation were transferred into a
3D-thermo-mechanical-simulation
of the welding process itself (Figure
1a). After the thermo-mechanical
simulation a post-processing routine
was used to consider microstructural
changes in the material.
The complete material history
is then transferred to the modeled
tensile-test. During this tensile test
simulation the strain of the material
is observed and compared to the
fracture strains in every calculation
step. In this way it is possible to predict
the position of failure. Together
Bei der Durchführung der
Zugversuchssimulation wurde
über ein Abbruchkriterium (Bruchdehnung)
der Versagensort ermittelt.
Mit den am BIAS durchgeführten
Zusammen arbeit mit unseren
Kooperations partnern vom ZeTeM
und IWT war es erstmals möglich
in 2D berechnete Nahtgeometrien
auf 3D-Modelle zu übertragen
und diese für die Vorhersage
des Versagensortes zu nutzen.
Weiterhin ist es möglich den
Versagensort entsprechend des hinterlegten
Materialmodells vorherzusagen
