Mobilität gehört zu den Grundbedürfnissen
der Menschheit. Umso wichtiger ist es, diese
Mobilität sicher und bezahlbar zu gestalten.
Gleichzeitig sind Umweltstandards einzuhalten.
Elektromobilität kann einen großen Beitrag
leisten, diese komplexen Anforderungen
zu erfüllen.
Der Freistaat Sachsen unterstützt die Ziele
der Bundesregierung, Deutschland zum Leitmarkt
und Leitanbieter für Elektromobilität
zu entwickeln. Die Sächsische Staatsregierung
hat für den Bereich Elektromobilität seit
2009 über 70 Millionen Euro zur Unterstützung
von Forschung und Entwicklung der
Wirtschaft investiert.
Den ersten Schritt hin zu neuen Mobilitätskonzepten
hat Sachsen von 2009 bis 2011 als
Modellregion für Elektromobilität realisiert
und konnte zahlreiche Erfahrungen auf diesem
Gebiet sammeln. Den nächsten Schritt
gehen wir nunmehr zusammen mit Bayern im
gemeinsamen bayerisch-sächsischen Schaufenster
„ELEKTROMOBILITÄT VERBINDET“. Hier
sollen bis Ende 2015 die Grundlagen eines
funktionsfähigen Marktes für Elektrofahrzeuge
geschaffen werden. Beide Freistaaten
wollen dieses Projekt mit jeweils zusätzlich 15
Millionen Euro unterstützen.
Vom Batterierohstoff Lithium, über den Leicht-
bau bis hin zu entsprechenden Produktions-
und Recyclingtechnologien – in Sachsen kann
die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette für Elektrofahrzeuge
abgebildet werden. Einen Einblick
in die Vielfalt und Potenziale der im Freistaat
Sachsen am Thema Elektromobilität beteiligten
Unternehmen und Einrichtungen gibt dieser
Kompetenzatlas. Ich bin mir sicher, so können
auch Sie geeignete Partner für Geschäfte
oder Kooperationen finden.

Mobility is a basic human need, so it is all the
more important to make it safe and affordable,
while simultaneously adhering to environmental
standards. Electric mobility can make
a significant contribution towards meeting
these complex requirements.
The Free State of Saxony supports the aims
of the Federal Government to transform Germany
into a leading market and leading provider
of electric mobility. Since 2009, the Saxon
state government has invested more than 70
million Euros in electric mobility to support
research and development in the industry.
From 2009 to 2011, Saxony took the first step
towards creating new mobility schemes as a
model region for electric mobility, gaining a
lot of experience in this field. Now, together
with the state of Bavaria, we are taking the
next step as part of the showcase Bavaria-
Saxony ELECTRIC MOBILITY CONNECTS. The
aim of this programme is to lay the foundations
for a functional market for electric
vehicles by the end of 2015. Both free states
intend to provide an additional 15 million euros
each in support of this project.
From raw material for lithium batteries to
lightweight construction to appropriate production
and recycling technologies, the entire
value-added chain for electric vehicles can be
created here in Saxony. This competence atlas
provides an insight into the diversity and
potential offered by companies and institutes
involved with electric mobility in the Free
State of Saxony, and I am confident that you
too can find suitable partners for business
or cooperations.
