Aufgrund unserer großzügig angelegten Werkshallen sind wir in der Lage,

Technical Description 

Statische Auslegung 

Die Ausführungen unserer Silos sind für eine große Anzahl von 

Schüttgütern geeignet sowie für die meisten Betriebsfälle ohne 

konstruktive Änderungen einsetzbar. Für die festigkeitsmäßige 

Auslegung der Silos werden die Lastannahmen entsprechend der DIN 

1055 Teil 6 ermittelt. Anhand dieser Norm wird vorausgesetzt, dass 

es sich bei den Schüttgütern um körnige oder staubförmige, in jedem 

Fall aber gut fließfähige, kohäsionsarme Schüttgüter handelt. Die 

Schüttgutaustragung hat ausschließlich zentrisch unter Vermeidung 

von asymetrischen Fließzonen zu erfolgen. Im einzelnen erfolgt die 

Berechnung der Statik anhand der folgenden Last- und 

Schüttgutannahmen.

Für Silos deren äußere Lasten über den oben angeführten 

Lastannahmen liegen bzw. für Schüttgüter die nicht in den Bereich der 

oben genannten Schüttgutannahmen fallen, bzw. deren Verhalten 

kohäsiv ist oder die auch nur zeitweise zur exzentrischen Entleerung 

neigen, ist eine gesonderte Statik unter Berücksichtigung der abweichenden 

Daten zu erstellen. In der Regel sind die Silos für 

Erdbeben der Intensität 7 auf der MSK-Skala oder der Erdbebenzone 2 

nach DIN 4149 ausreichend bemessen. Andere Erdbebenzonen sind 

uns für den Nachweis der Erdbebensicherheit in der Statik vor der 

Bestellung mitzuteilen. Um Einbeulungen der Standzarge oder des 

Silomantels zu vermeiden, müssen die Fußringe des Silos mit 

mindestens 80% ihrer Fläche auf dem Unterbau aufliegen. 



Silovolumen 

Die angegebenen Silovolumen geben den Rauminhalt vom Trichter 

bis zum Dach an. Dieser wurde anhand der Skizzen im Katalog 

rechnerisch ermittelt und auf- oder abgerundet. Ansprüche auf 

abweichende Inhalte können nicht geltend gemacht werden. 

Werkstoffe 

Silodach, Silomantel sowie Silotrichter und Standzarge sind aus 

ALMg3 (EN AW-5754-O/H 111) gefertigt. Zubehörteile bestehen aus 

ALMg3 oder ALMgSi. Schrauben oder sonstige Verbindungsteile sind 

aus Edelstahl. Fundamentring und Ankerbolzen sind aus Stahl 

gefertigt. 

Oberflächen 

Die Oberfläche der Aluminiumbleche bleibt walzblank. Für eine 

mögliche Beeinträchtigung der Oberflächen während des Transports 

oder bei der Montage übernehmen wir keine Haftung. Je nach 

Anforderung empfehlen wir, die nach der Fertigstellung von innen 

gewaschenen Silos sowie angeschlossene Rohrleitungen vor 

Inbetriebnahme entsprechend zu reinigen. 

Schweißnähte 

Die im MIG- und WIG-Verfahren luftdicht geschweißten Nähte werden 

aus verfahrenstechnischen und festigkeitsmäßigen Gründen nicht 

bearbeitet. Grobe Unebenheiten und Schweißschlacken werden 

entfernt. 

Transport 

Für Silos mit Lademaßüberschreitung, die mit dem Schiff oder auf der 

Straße transportiert werden sollen, erstellen wir Verladeskizzen und 

beantragen die erforderlichen Sondergenehmigungen. 

Änderungen 

Technische Änderungen, die der Verbesserung unserer Produkte 

dienen, behalten wir uns vor.

Static design 

Our silos are designed for a wide range of bulk materials and can be 

used for the majority of applications without any structural changes 

whatsoever. The strengths of our silos are determined based on the 

design loads defined in DIN 1055, part 6. This standard assumes that 

the bulk materials are of a grainy or powdery consistency; in any 

event easy flowing and low in cohesion. Bulk material discharge must 

take place centric, avoiding asymmetric flow zones. Static calculation 

takes place based on the following assumed load- an bulk good

For silos whose external loads are above the aforementioned design 

loads or bulk materials with a cohesive behaviour that do not fall 

within the range of the aforementioned bulk loads or also 

occasionally have eccentric discharge characteristics, separate static 

calculation is necessary, taking into account the deviating values. 

The silos are normally sufficiently dimensioned for earthquakes 

measuring 7 on the MSK-scale or earthquake zone 2 according to 

DIN 4149. 

We must be informed of other earthquake zones for verification of 

the earthquake proofness in the static calculation prior to any order 

being placed. To prevent damage to the skirt or silo shell, minimum 

80% of the silo base rings must be supported on a supporting 

structure. 

Silo volumes 

The specified volumes indicate the volume of the hopper up to the 

roof. These volumes are determined on the basis of calculation 

based on drawings in the catalogue and rounded up or down. Any 

claims for deviating capacities are excluded. 

Materials 

The silo roof, silo shell as well as the silo hopper and skirt are made 

of ALMg3 (EN AW-5754-O/H 111). Accessories are made of ALMg3 

or ALMgSi. Bolts or other connecting parts are made of stainless 

steel. Foundation rings and foundation bolts are made of steel. 

Surfaces 

Aluminium surfaces remain roll bright. All liability is disclaimed for 

any damage to surfaces occurring during transport or assembly. 

Depending on the particular requirements, it is recommended to 

clean the silos washed on the inside upon completion as well as 

connected pipes prior to commissioning. 

Welds 

The seams welded air-tight by MIG and WIG welding will not be 

machined for structural and strength reasons. Coarse unevenness 

and welding slag will be removed. 

Transport 

For oversized silos to be transported by sea or road, we prepare 

loading diagrams and apply for the necessary special permits. 

Changes 

We reserve the right to make technical changes that serve to 

improve our products. 

Delivery conditions 

Delivery takes place subject to our valid terms and 

conditions of sale and delivery.

Die Montage eines Silos läuft im Regelfall wie folgt ab: 

1. Transport zur Baustelle mit einem Straßentieflader oder dem Schiff und 

anschließendem Weitertransport mit einem Kran oder Straßentieflader. 

2. Abladen des Silos und des Zubehörs mittels Kränen 

3. Steigleiter an das Silo schrauben 

4. Fundamentring ausnivellieren 

5. Aufstellen des Silos auf dem Fundamentring 

6. Silo mit Fundametring verschrauben und restliches Zubehör montieren 

(Übergangsstege usw.) 

Die Montage der Silos führen wir vollständig aus oder stellen auf Wunsch 

einen Richtmeister, der Ihren schwindelfreien Betriebsschlosser anleitet. 

Kran und Fahrzeuge sollten bei kleinerer Anzahl von Silos zweckmäßigerweise 

vom Besteller disponiert werden, da dieser die örtlichen Verhältnisse 

kennt. In der Regel stellen versierte Kranfirmen bei Kenntnis der Aufgabenstellung 

geeignete Hilfsmittel. Sollten sich dennoch Probleme ergeben, 

kann der Kunde sich jederzeit vertrauensvoll an uns wenden. 

Alle zur Montage notwendigen Silodaten werden im Auftragsfall zur 

Verfügung gestellt. 

The assembly of a silo generally takes place as follows: 



1. Transport silo to construction site by road (low-bed truck), or sea and 

then by crane or low-bed truck. 

2. Unload silo and accessories by crane 

3. Bolt ladder to silo 

4. Level foundation ring 

5. Place silo on foundation ring 

6. Bolt silo to foundation ring and assemble remaining accessories 

(walkways, etc.) 

We can undertake complete silo assembly or provide the services of a 

foreman to instruct your mechanics and fitters with a head for heights. 

The customer should provide cranes and trucks where a small number of 

silos are ordered, as the customer knows the local conditions. Crane 

firms can normally provide suitable equipment for the particular 

application. If problems should arise, the customer can contact us for 

assistance at any time. 

All silo data necessary for assembly will be provided on placing an order.
