Rückblick 2010
Trotz der Auswirkungen der internationalen Finanzkrise können wir auf ein erfolgreiches Jahr 2010
zurückblicken. Wir haben auch in diesem Jahr die bewährte Böning-Produktpalette durch intensive
Aktivitäten bei Neu- und Weiterentwicklungen an die gestiegenen Anforderungen des Marktes
anpassen können.
Wir konnten zudem fünf neue Mitarbeiter für unser Unternehmen gewinnen, die uns in den Bereichen
Entwicklung, Marketing, Service und Vertrieb verstärken und zur Erhöhung der Kundenzufriedenheit
beitragen werden. Wir wünschen hierzu viel Erfolg.
Die positive Resonanz unserer Kunden und die vielen neuen Kontakte während unserer letzten
Messeauftritte z.B. auf der SMM in Hamburg und der METS in Amsterdam bestätigen uns, dass wir
auf richtigem Kurs liegen und spornen uns für die Zukunft an.
Review 2010
In spite of effects of the international finance crisis, we can look back on successful year 2010. Also
this year, we could adjust the well-proven Böning product range by intensive activities in new
developments and advancements to the increasing requirements and demands of the market.
Therefore, we could win five new staff members for our company, who will strengthen our
development, marketing, service and sales team and contribute by their work to increase customer
satisfaction. We wish them a lot of success in their new job.
The positive response of our customers and the great number of new contacts during our latest
exhibition appearances e.g. at SMM in Hamburg and METS in Amsterdam confirms, that we steer the
right course and will encourage us for the future.

50th International Boat Show, Genua
Hier präsentierte sich Böning auch in diesem Jahr auf
einem Gemeinschaftsstand mit der Bosch-Rexroth AG.
Auf der vom 02. bis zum 10. Oktober 2010 stattfindenden
Boat Show wurden die Böning-Produkte nicht nur auf
dem stets gut besuchten Messestand gezeigt sondern
auch auf einer Vielzahl der ausgestellten Yachten wie der
nachfolgende Bilderbogen eindrucksvoll zeigt.

Der serbische Yachtdesigner Art of Kinetik hat mit dem bis zu 43 Knoten schnellen 30 Fuß Open Day
Cruiser „MAZOKIST“ und der 63 Fuß großen
„HEDONIST“ zwei elegante und stilvolle
Yachten mit einem Schiffskörper aus
Mahagoniholz und einem außergewöhnlichen
Design geschaffen.
Die HEDONIST, ausgerüstet mit drei
von MAN Marine Dieselmotoren
angetriebenen Rolls-Royce/Kamewa
Waterjets und bis zu 40 Knoten schnell,
verbindet dabei qualitativ hochwertigen

Den hohen Ansprüchen an das
Erscheinungsbild werden die eingesetzten
Komponenten des Böning Schiffsalarm-
und Überwachungssystem mit ihrem
einheitlichen Design und der individuellen

Visualisierung auf den im Fahrstand
installierten 15“ und 19“ Farbdisplays
jederzeit gerecht. Die Betriebsdaten jedes

Art of Kinetik – Design from Serbia
With the up to 43 knots fast 30 feet Open Day Cruiser “MAZOKIST” and the 63 feet long “HEDONIST”,
the Serbian yacht designer Art of Kinetik has created two elegant and stylish yachts with a solid
mahogany hull and a remarkable design.
The HEDONIST, driven by three Rolls-Royce/Kamewa waterjets powered by MAN Marine Diesel
engines for a speed up to 40 knots, combines a high-quality yacht building with pure aesthetics in
every detail with state-of-the-art technology.
The applied components of the Böning ship alarm and monitoring system satisfy the high demands on
appearance at any time with their homogeneous design and individual and extensive arrangement of
the visualization on installed colour displays. The operating data of each MAN Marine Diesel engine
are individually visualized and monitored via separate 6.5” engine colour displays.
The integration of the Böning video system, operating panels for search light and windlass control and
presentation of Furuno Radar and sea chart navigation systems on both Böning 19” panel computer
colour displays realizes the operational concept with highest comfort.

Um den steigenden Ansprüchen bei total integrierten Systemen für Navigation, Kommunikation und
Automation gerecht zu werden, hat Alphatron Marine mit Sitz in Rotterdam/ Niederlande und
Tochtergesellschaften in Deutschland, Belgien und Singapur eine Kooperationsvereinbarung mit der
Böning Automationstechnologie GmbH & Co. KG, dem deutschen Spezialisten im Bereich der
Automation AMS und Steuerungssystemen für Dieselmotoren, Generatoren, Pumpen,

In order to comply with the growing demand for total integrated systems for navigation, communication
and automation, Alphatron Marine of Rotterdam Netherlands with subsidiaries at Germany, Belgium
and Singapore came into agreement with Böning Automationstechnologie GmbH & Co. KG, the
German specialist in the field of automation AMS and control systems for diesel engines, generators,

Für das patentierte Böning Trimmklappensteuerungssystem AHD-TCS können zukünftig auch die

CAN-USB-Konverter AHD-CUC
Über den CAN-USB-Konverter AHD-CUC können
externe PC-Systeme, deren Videoquellen zur
Visualisierung an Böning 10“ bis 19“ Farbdisplays
angeschlossen sind, mit den Bedienelementen der
Böning Display-Bedienpanel AHD-DC, AHD-DRM R
und AHD-DRM T gesteuert werden. Das aufgeführte
Schema zeigt eine Anwendung zur Steuerung des
Furuno NavNet 3D Navigationssystem.
Es können mehrere externe PC-Systeme über
jeweils eine AHD-CUC Einheit eingebunden werden.
Über eine Konfigurationssoftware werden den
Bedienelementen (Tasten, Dreh-Drücksteller bzw.
Trackball) der Bedienpanel Maus- und
Tastaturkommandos zugewiesen, die über die
Standard-USB-Schnittstelle an den externen PC
übertragen werden.
Die Zuweisung der Steuerkommandos ist frei konfigurierbar und kann somit individuell an die
erforderliche Steuerung des externen PC angepasst werden. Über die Konfigurationssoftware wird
außerdem festgelegt, an welcher Schnittstelle (DVI, VGA, FBAS) der Böning Farbdisplays die
Videoquelle des externen PC-Systems angeschlossen ist. Diese Konfiguration ermöglicht die
automatische Aktivierung der Kommandoübertragung bei Anwahl der entsprechenden Signalquelle
des Farbdisplays.
Bis zu acht Farbdisplays können individuell voreingestellt werden (Standardeinstellung: DVI). Die
Anwahl des Farbdisplays und dessen Signalquelle (Schnittstelle) erfolgt am Display oder über die
Display-Bedienpanel.
Die CAN-USB-Konverter AHD-CUC sowie alle Farbdisplays und Display-Bedienpanel sind an den
gleichen Steuer-CAN-Bus (Control CAN Bus, CAN5-Schnittstelle (bzw. CAN bei Monitoren) der
Displays) angeschlossen.

CAN-USB-Converter AHD-CUC
By means of CAN-USB-converter unit AHD-CUC, external PC-systems, whose video sources are
connected to Böning 10“ bis 19“ colour displays for visualization, can be controlled by operating
elements of Böning display control panel AHD-DC, AHD-DRM R und AHD-DRM T. The presented
scheme shows an application for control of the Furuno NavNet 3D navigation system.
Multiple external PC-systems may be integrated each by an individual AHD-CUC unit. By means of a
configuration software, mouse and keyboard commands are assigned to operating elements (keys,
push drive resp. trackball) of display control panels, which are transmitted then via standard USBinterface
to the external PC.
The assignment of control commands is free configurable and by that, the required control of the
external PC can be adapted individually. Furthermore, it is also defined by configuration software, to
which interface (DVI, VGA, FBAS) of Böning colour displays the video source of the external PCsystem
is connected to. This configuration allows the automatic activation of command transmission at
selection of appropriate signal source of the colour display.
Up to eight colour displays can be individually preconfigured (default setting: DVI). The selection of the
colour display and its signal source (interface) is performed on display control panel resp. on display.
The CAN-USB-converter units AHD-CUC as well as all colour displays and display control panel are
connected to the same control CAN bus (CAN5-interface resp. CAN-interface on monitors).
