Ref. 1415T30
1) Disassemble the rear-light units and the bumper. Permanently remove the metal buffer beam which is
fixed on the body work in the rear.
2) On both sides, the provided drillings are freed. Place the tow bar with the points (A) on the drillings and
insert the bolts and washers.
Screw everything firmly on (according to tension).
3) Assemble the pedestal for the escamotable ball.
4) Re-assemble the bumper and the rear-light units (when it concerns a vehicle which is not foreseen to
assemble a tow bar, see fig.1 for the incision in the bottom of the bumper or order a spoiler with covering
for the tow bar).
Disassemble bumper
- 2x2 screws at the bottom of the rear lights
- 2x5 screws at wheel cases
- 4 screws at bottom of the bumper
Audi Q7
1) Disassemble the bumper and permanently remove the aluminum buffer beam.
2) Assemble the tow bar with points (A) on the provided screw-thread on which the buffer beam was fixed
to, insert the bolts and tighten everything firmly (see tension).
3) Assemble the pedestal of the detachable ball, insert bolts and do tighten everything firmly (see tension).
4) Re-assemble the bumper and the rear-lights (see fig.1 for the incision in the bottom of the bumper).
Disassemble the bumper
- 5 screws at the bottom of the bumper
- 2x4 screws at wheel cases
- 2x2 nuts M6 inside the trunk against the back plate
- loosen sides and shove the bumper to the back.
Note
Please consult your cardealer or owners manual for the maximal permissable towing mass.
Remove any bitumen coating on the fastening position for the tow bar.
When drilling, be carefull not to damage any brake lines, electrical wiring or fuel lines.
