ADDINOL Gasmotorenöle und ihre Einsatzbereiche ADDINOL gas engine oils and their applications Alle Gasmotoren, egal ob im Betrieb mit Erdgas oder Sondergasen, weisen hohe Verbrennungstemperaturen auf. Sie arbeiten zudem im Dauerbetrieb unter Volllast. Um ihren sicheren Betrieb zu gewährleisten, müssen Ablagerungen und Verschleiß sowie Korrosion verhindert werden. Hinzu kommen bei Sondergasen schwankende Gasqualitäten und Belastungen durch Schwefelwasserstoff, Verunreinigungen und Feuchtigkeit. All engines, both operated with natural gas and special gases, are subject to high combustion temperatures. In addition, they run non-stop and under full load. In order to ensure their safe and reliable operation, deposits and wear as well as corrosion must be prevented. Besides, the operation with special gases means individual and varying gas qualities as well as loads caused by hydrogen sulphide, contaminants and humidity. Erdgas Erdgas wird verstärkt für dezentrale Energieversorgung, öffentliche Einrichtungen und den kommunalen Bereich genutzt. Das methanhaltige Gas verbrennt aufgrund geringerer Verunreinigungen sauberer als andere fossile Brennstoffe. Die Belastung durch saure Bestandteile ist im Vergleich zu Sondergasen gering, so dass eingesetzte Motorenöle eine andere alkalische Reserve* erfordern und hier in der Regel aschearme Gasmotorenöle von Gasmotorenherstellern verlangt werden. Hier hat sich das Low-Ash Öl ADDINOL MG 40-Extra LA bereits vielfach bewährt. Das neue ADDINOL MG 40-Extra Synth auf synthetischer Basis ist ebenfalls hervorragend für den Einsatz mit Erdgas sowie für Sondergase in erdgasnaher Qualität geeignet. Neben dem niedrigen Aschegehalt zeichnen sich beide Produkte vor allem durch hohe thermisch-oxidative Stabilität aus, die für die hohen Verbrennungstemperaturen von Erdgas besonders wichtig ist. Leistungsfähige Additive sorgen für einen sauberen Motor und schützen wirksam vor korrosivem und mechanischem Verschleiß. Zudem kommt Erdgas immer häufiger in der dezentralen Energieversorgung privater Haushalte mittels KleinstBHKW zum Einsatz. Die neuen Anlagen nutzen das Prinzip der Kraft-Wärme-Kopplung, um aus Erdgas Wärme und Strom für Ein- oder Mehrfamilienhäuser zu erzeugen. Sie erreichen ausgezeichnete Nutzungsgrade, sparen Primärenergie und reduzieren den CO 2 Ausstoß im Vergleich zur getrennten Produktion von Wärme und Strom deutlich. Wie die großen Anlagen sind auch sie hohen thermischen Belastungen ausgesetzt und streben nach langen Laufzeiten bei geringem Wartungsaufwand. Im Gegensatz zu den Großen werden sie jedoch mit kleinen Ölvolumen betrieben und laufen im „Stop-and- Go“ Modus. Hier eingesetzte Öle müssen den hohen Temperaturen standhalten, alterungsbeständig sein und die Motorenkomponenten zuverlässig vor Verschleiß und Korrosion schützen. Speziell für diese Bedingungen bietet das ADDINOL Sortiment das Gasmotorenöl MG 40 PowerSynth für wärme- oder stromgeführte Anlagen. Das Öl basiert auf hochwertigen synthetischen Komponenten und einem modernen, leistungsfähigen Additivpaket für den perfekten Rundum-Schutz des Motors und lange Laufzeiten. Natural gas Natural gas is used for decentralised energy supply, public utilities and communities more and more often. Because of less contaminants the combustion process of the gas, which is rich in methane, is cleaner compared to other fossil fuels. In contrast to special gases acid components play a minor role here. Therefore, the alkaline reserve* required for engine oils used with this gas differs and manufacturers of gas engines operated with natural gas demand the use of low-ash engine oils. The low-ash oil ADDINOL MG 40-Extra LA has been proved and tested in numerous applications. Also the new ADDINOL MG 40-Extra Synth based on synthetic components is highly suited for the application with natural gas as well as special gases of similar quality. Both products possess a low ash content and display excellent thermal-oxidative stability. Therefore they are resistant to the high combustion temperatures typical of natural gas. In addition, efficient additives ensure a clean engine and reliable protection against corrosive and mechanical wear. Moreover, natural gas is used more and more often for the decentralised energy supply of private households in micro-CHP (combined heat and power plants). These new plants utilise the principle of combined heat and power generation to produce heat and electricity from natural gas for one- or multi-family houses. Such units achieve excellent efficiencies, save primary energy and reduce CO 2 -emissions compared to the separate production of heat and electricity significantly. The large plants and their smaller counterparts have several features in common: They are also exposed to high thermal loads and operators aim at long running times at minor maintenance effort. However, in contrast to large plants the small units have only small oil volumes and are operated in stop-and-go mode. These conditions demand oils which are up to high temperatures and resistant to ageing. Engine components must be protected against wear and corrosion reliably. For these conditions in particular the ADDINOL range offers gas engine oil MG 40 PowerSynth for heat- or power-led plants. The oil is based on high-grade synthetic components and a modern, efficient additive package for the perfect all-round protection of engines and long operating lives.
