and concepts in modern atomic physics and to demonstrate their<br />
relevance to nowadays applications. Experimental methods and<br />
the related theoretical description will be reviewed in great details.<br />

- Relativistic and QED effects on the structure of heavy ions<br />
- X-ray spectroscopy of high-Z ions<br />
- Application in x-ray astronomy<br />
- Penetration of charged particles through matter<br />
- Particle dynamics in of atoms and ions in strong laser fields<br />
- Relativistic ion-atom and ion-electron collisions<br />
