PHILOSOPHIE
Die Möbel aus der Kollektion „reclaimed - living in harmony with nature“
sind handgemachte Unikate für deren Herstellung kein einziger Baum
gefällt werden muss.
Alle Möbel aus dieser Serie, zu der Sessel, Stühle, Clubsessel,
Tische und Barhocker sowie Loungemöbel gehören, sind bis auf die
Kissen echte „up-cycling-Produkte“, die sich an dem Konzept
„cradle-to-cradle“ orientieren. Dieses Konzept der zyklischen Ressourcennutzung
beinhaltet eine Produktionsweise, die am Erhalt geschöpfter
Werte ausgerichtet ist.
Altes Bauholz wird zu neuwertigen und attraktiven Möbeln mit
hohem Gebrauchswert verarbeitet. Die Produkte der Marke
reclaimed verwirklichen somit echtes „up-cycling“ und sind ein
Beitrag zur Schonung von Ressourcen und Umwelt.

PHILOSOPHY
The furniture from the collection „reclaimed - living in harmony with nature“
are handmade uniques. Not a single tree is cut for the production.
All furniture from this series, which includes lounge sofas, chairs, bar
tables, bar chairs etc. are genuine up-cycling products, based on the
concept of „cradle-to-cradle“. C2C is a biomimetic approach to the
design of products and systems. It models human industry on nature‘s
processes viewing materials as nutrients circulating in healthy,
safe metabolisms.
Old timber is hand-crafted into new and attractive furniture with high
practical value. The products of „reclaimed“ therefore realize genuine
„up-cycling“ and are a contribution to the conservation of resources and
the environment.

HERSTELLUNG
Die Möbel werden aus ca. 60 bis 100 Jahre altem Holz (Pinie, Ulme) hergestellt,
das aus alten Türen, Dachsparren, Dielenbrettern, Fenstern und anderem Bauholz
stammt. Jedes Bauholzteil fällt in Farbe, Oberfläche und Gebrauchsspur anders
aus. Dies ergibt im Zusammenspiel die typische, unverwechselbare Patina.
Nach aufwendiger Sortierung, Reinigung und handwerklich sorgfältiger
Aufbereitung können die Balken, Leisten und Bretter, die in sehr unterschiedlichen
Stärken und Oberflächen-Ausprägungen vorliegen dann zu einem Möbelstück
verarbeitet werden.
Verbindungen der einzelnen Möbelteile werden dort wo es realisierbar ist mit
Dübeln und Zapfen hergestellt. Nägel kommen grundsätzlich nicht zum Einsatz,
da sie keine dauerhafte und stabile Verbindung herstellen können. Wo keine Holzverbindung
in Form von Zapfen und Dübeln möglich ist, werden die Teile mit
Edelstahlschrauben dauerhaft fest verschraubt.
Die Oberfläche der Outdoormöbel wird 2 Mal mit einem Spezialöl der Firma osmo®
vorbehandelt. Dieses Öl wird nach strengen EU-Richtlinien gefertigt und schützt
die Möbel vor dem Eindringen von Feuchtigkeit . Außerdem verhindert es den Befall
durch Insekten und/oder Schimmel. Die Outdoormöbel sind also ohne weitere
Behandlung durch den Kunden sofort einsetzbar und benötigen nur sehr wenig
Pflege. Alle 2 Jahre könnte ein leichtes Einölen mit einem weichen Tuch notwendig
werden, so dass die Oberflächen wieder versiegelt werden.
Zusammen mit den Kissen, die mit hochwertigem, pflegeleichtem, UV-Licht-resistentem
Outdoor-Stoff bezogen sind entstehen so innovative, einzigartige Produkte.
Der Hersteller des Stoffes gibt eine 5-Jahres Garantie auf die Verwendung der
Stoffe im Außenbereich.

PRODUCTION
The furniture is made from 60 to 100 years old wood (pine, elm), which originates
from old doors, roof rafters, planks, windows and other used timber. Each part of
the timber is different in color, surface, and appearance. Thus resulting in the typical,
distinctive patina.
Only after a complex sorting process , including purifi cation and careful pretreatment
of the beams, rail s and boards, which are avail able in different thicknesses and
surface textures the raw material can then be manufactured to an attractive piece
of furniture.
Connections of the individual parts of the furniture are made - where it is feasible
- with dowels and pins. Nails are generally not used, because they cannot provide
for a permanent and stable connection.. Where it is not possible to connect
the wooden parts with dowels and pins, stainless steel screws guarantee a
permanent connection.
The surface of the furniture is treated two times with a special outdoor oil of
company OSMO®. This oil is manufactured according to strict EU guidelines
and protects the furniture from the ingress of moisture. In addition, it prevents
the infestation by insects or mildew. The items are ready for use without further
treatment by the customer and require very little care. Every 2 years a light
oiling with a soft cloth could be necessary, so that the surfaces
are sealed again.
Together with the cushions, which are covered with
high-quality, easy to care AND UV-light resistant
outdoor fabric Innovative, unique products come into
being. The manufacturer of the fabrics is granting
a 5-year guarantee on the use of the fabrics in the
outdoor area.
