Vervielfältigungsrechte – einzuholen.

APPLICATION FOR GEMA PERMIT
For the reproduction of music on an exhibition stand a permit in
accordance with § 15 of Copyright Law of September 9, 1965
has to be obtained from GEMA – Gesellschaft für musikalische
Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte (German
Mechanical Copyright Protection Society).

We apply for the granting of a licence pursuant to § 12 Law on
Catering. (No permit is required for the serving of free samples,
i.e. the serving of food and drink for immediate consumption in
quantities smaller than are commonly sold. Refreshments may
also be provided to customers free of charge. In both cases no
application is required.)

Hinweise: Die Gebühren liegen gem. Tarifstelle 12.14.6 der Allgemeinen Verwaltungsgebührenordnung
(AVwGebO NRW) in der Fassung der Bekanntmachung vom
3. 7. 2001 (GV NRW S. 262) in der gültigen Fassung je nach Art des Angebotes,
der Zeitdauer und der Gastflächen zwischen c 25,– und c 800,–.
Die fehlende Beantragung einer nach dem Gaststättengesetz erforderlichen Erlaubnis
kann ein Ordnungswidrigkeitsverfahren unter Verhängung eines Bußgeldes bis zu einer
Höhe von c 5.000,– nach sich ziehen.
Information: The fees are between d 25.– and d 800.–. pursuant to tariff position
12.14.6 of the Official Scale of Charges of North Rhine-Westphalia (Allgemeine
Verwaltungsgebührenordnung) in the version published on July 3, 2001 in the
version applicable, depending on the type of drinks sold, the period of time and
the guest areas.
Failure to apply for a licence as required by the Catering Trades Act can lead to
proceedings for an infringement of regulations and the imposition of a fine of up to
d 5,000.

Was ist die MwSt
Die MwSt. ist eine Verbrauchersteuer, die den Verbrauch von
Gütern und Dienstleistungen in Deutschland besteuert. Die
gegenwärtig gültige Höhe beläuft sich im allgemeinen auf 19%
und im besonderen auf 7% für z.B. Lebensmittel, Bücher und Taxi.
Die MwSt. ist folglich an alle Dinge, die Sie während Ihres
Aufenthaltes in Deutschland kaufen oder bezahlen, gebunden.
Ganz gleich, ob Sie Besucher oder Aussteller einer deutschen
Messe sind, die MwSt. wird in Ihren Rechnungen ausgewiesen,
sei es für Ihre Hotel- oder Restaurantrechnungen oder für die
Miete und den Aufbau des Messestandes. Auch Ihr Taxifahrgeld
oder die Einkäufe im Warenhaus schließen immer die
MwSt. ein, unabhängig davon, ob Sie auf Ihren Quittungen
ausgewiesen ist oder nicht.
Wie auch immer, was Sie unbedingt wissen müssen ist, dass
die MwSt. auch für ausländische Fachbesucher und Aussteller
erstattet werden kann.
Allerdings ist die Rückerstattungsprozedur sehr bürokratisch,
lang und aufwendig und schließt die Gefahr einer nicht vollständigen
Rückzahlung ein.
Das Rückerstattungsverfahren selbst ist durch entsprechende
Gesetze und Verordnungen in Deutschland streng reglementiert.
Ohne eine professionelle Unterstützung kann die
Rückerstattungsprozedur bis zu 8 Monate und länger dauern.
What is VAT
VAT is a consumer tax that taxes the consumption of goods and
services in Germany. The currently applicable amount is generally
19% and specifically 7% for food, books and taxis, for example.
VAT is accordingly connected to all things you buy or pay for
during your stay in Germany. No matter whether you are a visitor
or an exhibitor at a German trade fair, VAT is identified in
your invoices, be it for hotel or restaurant bills/checks or for the
rental and set-up of your trade fair stand. Your taxi fare and
department store purchases always include VAT, whether or not
it is identified on your receipts.
Regardless, what you definitely need to know is that VAT can also
be refunded for foreign business-related visitors and exhibitors.
However, the refund procedure is very bureaucratic, long and
complicated and includes the risk of an incomplete refund.
The refund procedure itself is strictly regularised in Germany
through corresponding laws and regulations. Without professional
support the refund procedure can take up to 8 months or
longer.
Zur Beachtung:
Auf Grund der zur Zeit zwischenstaatlichen Abkommen ist der
Rückerstattungsservice nur für Länder der Europäischen Union
und andere berechtigte Länder möglich. Für alle anderen Länder
können nur Gemeinschaftsaustellungen einbezogen werden.
Das Honorar beträgt 15% des gezahlten Erstattungsbetrages.

Due to the present international treaties, the refund service is
only possible for countries of the European Union and other authorised
countries. For all other countries only shared exhibits
can be included.
Our fees amount to 15% of the refund amount paid.
