Einbauanleitung BMW Sound-Upgrade
Diese Anleitung basiert auf folgendem BMW-Typ:
E87 130i Vor-Facelift mit BMW Standard-Lautsprechersystem
(10cm / 4“ Breitbänder und 16cm / 6“ Untersitz-Woofer)
Abweichungen dieser Anleitung bei anderen BMW Modellen können nicht ausgeschlossen werden.

Einbau Anweisung
1. Demontage Türverkleidung (Bitte vorher beide Fenster herunterlassen)
3 Schrauben pro Seite
Mithilfe des Plastik-
Hebelwerkzeuges
die Blenden lösen.
Bitte acht geben, da
sich die Clips schwer
lösen lassen.
1x Kreuzschlitz-Schraube
Nach Entfernen der Blenden bitte diese Schrauben lösen:
1x Phillips Kreuzschlitz-Schraube beim Türöffner &
2x Torx T20 am Türgriff
2x Torx T20

Mit Hilfe des Plastik-Hebelwerkzeuges
Die Fensterheber-Schalteinheit entfernen
Stecker lösen
Lösen sie mit dem Plastik-Hebel-
Werkzeug Schritt für Schritt jeden Clip

Ziehen Sie an der Türverkleidung, um die oberen Metall-
Clips zu lösen.
Halten Sie die Verkleidung mit einer Hand fest und lösen
sie die Lautsprecher-Stecker und Türöffner
mit der anderen Hand
Legen Sie die Verkleidung auf eine weiche
Schaumstoffunterlage.
und
Entfernen Sie den BMW-Lautsprecher

2. Einbau des Mitteltöners
Benutzen Sie einen
3mm Bohrer um die
3 Befestigungslöcher
vorzubohren
3mm Bohrer
zum Vorbohren
Nehmen Sie den Plastikring
der GZRC 100FX Gitter und
benutzen Sie den BMW-
Lautsprecher als Schablone.
5mm Bohrer
zum Aufweiten der Löcher
Fixieren Sie den Mitteltöner mit 8x M4x16 Schrauben
und Muttern, wie auf den Bildern dargestellt.

Nutzen Sie den
5mm Bohrer, um
die Befestigungs-
Löcher zu
vergrößern
Um das bestmögliche Ergebnis zu erzielen,
sollten Sie Schaum-Dichtband an dem Lautsprecher anbringen.

Nutzen Sie die Original BMW-Schrauben, um den Lautsprecher zusammen mit dem
Plastik-Adapter zu montieren.
3. Einbau der Frequenzweiche
Nutzen Sie Klebt&Dichtet Silikon um die Frequenzweichen-
Platine entsprechend der Bilder zu fixieren.
Um die Platine schneller zu befestigen, können Sie
zusätzlich auch Heißkleber benutzen.

Entfernen Sie die Plastikverkleidung
der Frequenzweiche
Schliessen Sie den Mitteltöner an der Weiche an und bereiten Sie Kabel für HT und Input vor.

4. Ausbau der Spiegeldreiecke und Fensterrahmen
Lösen Sie die 3 Clipse und ziehen sie die Verkleidung ab.
5. Einbau des Hochtöners
Bitte beachten, daß bei einigen BMW-Modellen, z.B. E87 Facelift, keine Hochton-Vorbereitung
Vorhanden ist. Sie können die benötigte Verkleidung bei Ihrem örtlichen BMW-Händler erwerben.
Modifizieren Sie diese 4 Punkte um die perfekte
Hochtöner-Aufnahme zu gewährleisten.

Entfernen Sie Gehäuse und Gitter
Clipsen Sie den GROUND ZERO Hochtöner ein.
Wenn die Modifikation akkurat durchgeführt wurde,
passt der Hochtöner perfekt.
Zusätzlich können Sie das Chassis auch mit Kleber
fixieren.
Montieren Sie das Spiegeldreick in umgekehrter Reihenfolge, wie bei Punkt 4 beschrieben.
6. Dämmung

7. Kabel mit Frequenzweiche verbinden
Bitte beachten Sie die
Kabel-Polarität
8. Frequenzweiche einstellen
Trennen Sie das OEM und Hochtöner Kabel auf
und befestigen Sie Quetsch-Steckverbinder und Hülsen
GROUND ZERO Empfehlung für den besten Kompromiss aus Klang und Effizienz.
Für den Individuellen Geschmack sollten Sie auch verschiedene Einstellungen probieren.

Um zu verhindern, dass sich Jumper durch Erschütterung oder Vibration lösen, sollten
Sie diese mit einem kleinen Klebepunkt fixieren. Benutzen Sie hierfür eine Heißklebepistole.

10. Montage Türverkleidung
Montieren Sie die Türverkleidung in umgekehrter Reihenfolge, wie bei Punkt 1 beschrieben.
11. Ausbau des OEM Woofers
Bitte beachten: Es ist nicht notwendig
die Kabel des Sitzes abzuklemmen
4x Torx T50 herausdrehen
und Sitz nach hinten kippen
6x Kreuzschlitz-Schrauben herausdrehen und Gitter entfernen
4x Torx T10 screws herrausdrehen,
Stecker abklemmen und
OEM-Woofer entfernen.
Trennen Sie mithilfe eines
Teppichmessers einen ca. 10x15cm
großen Bereich der Teppich-
Unterseite herraus.

10. Einbau des Woofers
Fügen Sie den Adapter GZBR 200BMW, den GZMW 200NEO und den Plastik Ring
des GZMW 200NEO-Gitters zusammen.
Nehmen Sie die 4x Kreuzschlitzschrauben, die im Lieferumfang des GZBR 200BMW
enthalten sind und verbinden Sie Woofer und Plastik Ring mit dem Adapter.
Fügen Sie das Gitter hinzu und schließen Sie ein 40cm langes
1,5mm² Kabel an.
Setzen Sie den Woofer in die Öffnung und fixieren es mit
den 4x Torx T10 Schrauben.

Schneiden Sie mit Hilfe einer
Metallschere 1/3 des Metall-
Gitters heraus.
Schliessen Sie das Kabel des
GZBR 200BMW Adapters an das
Terminal des GZMW 200NEO an.

11. Anschluß des Woofers und Einbau der Weiche
Entfernen Sie ein ca. 10x15cm großes Stück von der Teppich-Unterseite.
Verlängern Sie das OEM Kabel mit ~30cm
1.5mm² Lautsprecherkabel. Bitte beachten,
dass es sich bei dem braun markierten
Kabel um Masse – handelt.
Schließen Sie Lautsprecher und Line-in an
der Weiche an. Fixieren Sie die Weiche
mittels Knetplast auf dem Lüftungsschacht
unter dem Teppich.
Final können Sie das Plastikgitter wieder
Mit den 6x Kreuzschlitzschrauben befestigen und den
Sitz zurückkippen und die 4x Torx T50 fixieren.
Bitte beachten Sie den max. Drehmoment der
Sitz-Schrauben, der seitens BMW freigeben ist.
Woofer Einstellung
- Jumper J1: Low - Jumper J2: ohne Funktion

Abweichende Angaben, je nach Fahrzeugtyp, Baujahr und Ausstattung
sind nicht auszuschließen.
Daher sind alle Angaben dieser Einbau-Anleitung ohne Gewähr

Ergänzung zu Punkt 10/11
BMW E90 / 91 / 92 /93
Aufgrund einer Einschränkung in der Bauhöhe muss bei den oben genannten Modellen die unten
aufgeführte Anleitung beachtet werden. Diese Anleitung wurde anhand eines BMW E90 mit
Basis Stereo-System durchgeführt. Abweichende Angaben, je nach Fahrzeugtyp, Baujahr und
Ausstattung sind nicht auszuschließen. Daher sind alle Angaben dieser Einbau-Anleitung
ohne Gewähr und beziehen Sich ausschließlich auf das, von GROUND ZERO genutzte Referenz-Fahrzeug
-Auf der Innenseite des GZBR 200BMW eine Lage Dichtband anbringen
-GZMW 200NEO in den Adapter einsetzen und von hinten verschrauben
-Kabel anklemmen
-Überstehende Schrauben abtrennen
-Lautsprecher gemäß Punkt 10 und 11 anschließen und mitsamt Adapter in die Originalöffnung setzen
-Mitgeliefertes Gitter auflegen
-Adapterring mit den 4 original T10 Schrauben fixieren
-Teppich-Unterseite komplett ausdünnen
-Die komplette Kante der Original Blende gemäß Bilder bearbeiten
-Blende aufsetzen und vorsichtig verschrauben..
-Mit Befestigung der Blende wird auch das Metallgitter fixiert.
-Die Wölbung der Blende entsteht durch das Metallgitter, schränkt die Verbaubarkeit
und Benutzung des Sitzes und der Komponenten nicht ein

This Instruction is based on below BMW-Type:

Installation Instruction
1. Removing Doorpanel (Open left and right window before you proceed)
1x Phillips head screw
2x Torx T20
3 Screws at each doorpanel
Use the Plastic tool
to take off the cover.
Take care, it is
fixed very strong.
After removing the cover, unscrew
1x Phillips head screw at the door opener &
2x Torx T20 at the door pull

Use the plastic tool to remove
the power window panel
Disconnect the plug
Use the plastic tool to unclip
the doorpanel step by step

Pull to unclip the metal-clips at the top
Hold the panel in one hand and disconnect
speakercable and door opener with the other hand
Lay the door panel on a soft underground (foam)
and
Unscrew the original BMW speaker

2. Installing midwoofer
Use a 3mm
spiral driller
to pre-drill 3 holes
3mm spiral driller
for pre-drilling
Take the grill-bracket
of the GZRC 100FX and use
the BMW speaker as
a center mark template
5mm spiral driller for
enlarging the bore-holes
Use 8x M4x16 screws incl. screw-nuts and
fix the midwoofer as shown at the pictures.
To get the best result, you should put some
foam sealing strip at the front of the speaker as shown below.

Use a 5mm
spiral driller

Use the original screw-nuts to fix the speaker with the bracket according to the pictures
3. Installing crossover
Use bond&seal silicone to fix the crossover-board
according to the pictures.
To fix the board directely, you can also use some
additionally hot-melt adhesive.

Remove the crossover-board
from the housing
Connect midwoofer to the crossover and prepare some cables for tweeter and input

4. Removing side mirror panel and window frame
Unclip 3 fixing points and pull off the panel and the frame..
5. Installing tweeter
Please note, that some BMW models, for example E87 Facelift, do not have the preparation
for tweeter-install. You have to order the correct side mirror panel at your local BMW dealer.
Modify the 4 points of the side mirror panel
to adapt the GROUND ZERO Tweeter perfectly

Clip in the GROUND ZERO tweeter.
If the modification of the side mirror panel is
done very accurate, the tweeter mounting
should be very strong.
You can also use some glue additionally.
Remove housing and the grill
Reassemble the side mirror panel and window frame in reversed order, according to point 4.

7. Connect tweeter and input signal-cable to crossover
Note the polarity

8. Adjusting crossover
Cut the OEM and tweeter cable and
fix crimp connector and plug
GROUND ZERO recommendation for best compromise of sound quality and efficiency.
For individual taste, you should try also different adjustments.

In order to prevent loosing jumpers, caused by vibration,
you should fix them also with a small glue joint with hot-melt adhesive

10. Reassemble doorpanel
Reassemble the Door panel in reversed order, according to point 1.
11. Removing OEM woofer
Unscrew 4x Torx T50
and tilt the seat backwards
Please note: It is not necessary to disconnect
any cable from the seats!!
Uncrew 4x Torx T10 screws,
disconnect cable and
remove the OEM-woofer.
Take a carpet cutter and cut out
a ~ 10x15cm big area
of the carpet-foam.
Unscrew 6x Phillips PH2 screws and remove grill

10. Installing woofer
Put the metal-bracket GZBR 200BMW, the GZMW 200NEO and the plastic ring
of the GZMW 200NEO-Grill together.
Take the 4x Phillips PH2 screws out of the small poly bag, packed in the GZBR 200BMW
bag and screw together the bracket, the woofer and the plastic ring
Add the meshgrill, connect a 1.5mm² cable with ~40cm length
Put the woofer back in position and fix the 4x Torx T10 screws

Use a metal shears and
cut ~ 1/3 of the meshgrill
Connect the cable of the
GZBR 200BMW to the terminal
of GZMW 200NEO

11. Connecting woofer and installing crossover
Take a carpet cutter and cut out a ~ 10x15cm big area of the carpet-foam.
Stretch the OEM cable with ~30cm
1.5mm² speakercable. Please note that
the brown marked cable is ground - !
Connect speaker and line-in to the
crossover. Put some moulding sealant
at the bottom of the crossover and put
it at the plastic air shaft below the carpet.
Finally you can reassemble the plastic-grill with
6x Phillips PH2 screws.
Flip the seat forward and fix the 4x Torx T50 screws.
Please take care of the max. torque
from BMW specification for the seats.
Woofer adjustment
- Jumper J1: Low - Jumper J2: without function

Additionally information to point 10/11
BMW E90 / 91 / 92 /93
Because of a limitation of the mounting height at above shown BMW models, you should pay
attention to below instruction. The instruction is based on a BMW E90 with the basic Stereo-System.
According to different car-type, year of manufacture and car configuration, we can not rule out
any difference of the type of installation. This instruction solely refers to the reference-car equiped by GROUND ZERO
-Fix up one layer foam inside the GZBR 200BMW.
-Fix the GZMW 200NEO into the Adapter
-Connect cable
-Cut the overlaying screws
-Connect the speaker according to point 10 and 11 and put it in the original chamber
-Put on the provided metal-meshgrill
-Fix the adapterring with the 4 original T10 screws
-Thin-out the bottom side of the carpet
-Cut off the whole edge at the plastic cover according to above pictures
-Put on the plastic cover and screw carefully
-The metal meshgrill will be also fixed if you screw down the original plastic cover
-The surface curvature is due to the metal meshgrill. There will be no reduction
regarding the fitment and function of the seat and the components.
