We are personally involved in all aspects of production – beginning with the working of the<br />
underground mined <strong>slate</strong> stone to the computer-assisted construction and production of components<br />
as well as all other required stages of manufacturing right up to the finished <strong>natural</strong><br />
<strong>slate</strong> clock. We therefore guarantee reliability and flexibility and we also manufacture special<br />
series according to your requests.<br />
Only high-quality materials and components are used in the manufacturing of our <strong>slate</strong> clocks<br />
like embossed, hand-polished metal hands, clock-glasses of mineral glass and clockworks of<br />
German quality standard. An elegantly-designed soft line case adds decorative detail to the<br />
reverse of each model.<br />

Die Faszination<br />
<strong>Naturschiefer</strong> – Faszination eines einzigartigen Gesteins. Entstanden vor rund 400 Millionen Jahren im devonischen Zeitalter. Das <strong>aus</strong> Granit<br />
bestehende Urgestein wurde durch Witterungseinflüsse abgetragen. Der so entstandene Tonschlamm verfestigte sich zu Tongestein, welches sich<br />
unter dem gewaltigen tektonischen Druck späterer Erdbewegungen faltete.<br />
Unter Tage abgebaut, gelangt das spaltbare Schiefergestein in großen Blöcken ans Tageslicht. Von kundiger Hand gespalten, entstehen die<br />
<strong>Uhren</strong>steine - jeder mit einer einzigartigen Oberfläche.<br />
Jede Schieferuhr fällt daher in ihrer Struktur außergewöhnlich <strong>aus</strong>. Hier hat die Natur ihre Handschrift hinterlassen. Die Struktur und Feinstreifung<br />
sowie Einschlüsse und Adern zeugen von der Echtheit eines faszinierenden Naturproduktes.<br />
The Fascination<br />
Natural <strong>slate</strong> – the fascination of a unique rock. Formed more than 400 million years ago in the Devonian period when primitive granite rock<br />
was eroded by the climatic influences. The clay sludge that was created hardened into argillaceous rock, which folded under the tremendous<br />
tectonic pressure of subsequent earth movements.<br />
After underground mining the fissile <strong>slate</strong> reaches daylight in large blocks. Split by skilled craftsmen the <strong>slate</strong> tablets are formed - each<br />
having a unique surface.<br />
Each model of our <strong>slate</strong> clocks is therefore exceptional designed by the structure of nature. The structure and fine striation as well as intercalations<br />
and lodes in the stone are evidence of the authenticity of a fascinating <strong>natural</strong> product.
