Opernstudio NiederrheinIn September 2012 the Theatre Krefeld Mönchengladbach cooperated with theRobert-Schumann-Hochschule-Düsseldorf to found the Opernstudio Niederrhein,which will now continue in its second year in the season 2013/14.The aim of this institution is to introduce especially talented, young singers who havecompleted their studies to professional theatre and offer them a manifold range ofpossibilities to collect important practical stage experience and skills.The scholarship holders will be cast in small or medium roles and integrated into thediverse repertoire of opera, operetta, musical and concerts of the Theatre KrefeldMönchengladbach. The members of the Opera Studio will also appear inindependent studio productions, scenically arranged concerts, recitals and operaprojects in the area of youth theatre. A team of highly experienced companymembers are to act as mentors to support the young singers. Further training will beavailable in the form of workshops and master courses in vocal and scenicinterpretation taught by prominent and experienced theatre personalities.The participants will also be instructed in contract and agency law and receivepractical support in the compilation of an application portfolio with résumé, photosand Demo-CDs.The members of the Opera Studio Niederrhein will receive a non-taxable monthlyscholarship. The enrolment at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule, Düsseldorfensures them student status.
