With its 20 wellness hotels, all in top
locations close to beaches, the company
Grecotel S.A. is Greece’s leading hotel
chain. Even though each of the hotels
has its own character adapted to the
individuality of the respective location,
all of the developments offer uncompromising
quality to the guests: Elegant
furnishings, excellent service and exquisite
cuisine. So far 13 hotels have been
equipped with Miele Professional
machines and further projects are in
the planning stage.
Last year the Grecotel Cape Sounio
was equipped with new Miele laundry
machines. The hotel is located close to
Athens, below the Poseidon temple on
the fringe of the Aegean. Despite the
proximity to the capital, the most beautiful
landscapes with national parks and
ancient Greek monuments seem within
reach. After having been taken over by
Grecotel, the hotel was completely
renovated and reopened shortly before
the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004.
150 bungalows accommodate 420 guests,
conference rooms and spas where the
guests indulge in Indian massages
carried out by trained therapists in
accordance with Ayurveda methods.
Another highlight is a short cruise
on the hotel’s yacht to nearby small
islands where bathing in isolated coves
is possible. In the evenings modern dishes
based on traditional Greek cuisine
using fresh local produce are offered.
In order to take care of the laundry from
the gastronomical area, three washerdryer-combinations
and a rotary ironer
were specially purchased from Miele
Professional – state-of-the-art technology
for modern wellness.
Ayurveda massages are also one
of the specialties on offer in one of the
largest hotels of the Grecotel chain:
Located on a two-kilometre beach, the
Olympia Riviera Resort in Kyllini on the
Peloponnes accommodates 1800 people
in 620 rooms. Despite the large capacity
of the hotel, that was also opened before
the Olympic Games in 2004, it is a place
of perfect tranquility and uncompromising
comfort. The large number of guests
means that there is a need for appropriate
high-tech laundry machines: In 2006
four washer-dryer-combinations and a
large rotary ironer were delivered by Miele.
