Modern animal husbandry of cattle and dairy
cows requires the optimum application of all production
factors to comply with the requirements
of animal protection, environmental protection
and economic efficiency. Water provision is of
particular importance in this case since water is
necessary for all processes of life, even in the production
process. HOSP’s patented “HD-SL” valves
offer efficient water usage for this reason.
30 l/min* water refilling on operation of the pressure
flap ensures infinitely variable fresh water
refilling and reduces the unused water consumption.
Special pipe routing and the G 3/4" water
connection from below enable simple application
in a ring main system with a heater for protecting
valves and drinking water from frost. Animalfriendly
edge formation and roundings, 2.5 mm
stainless steel material thickness and additional
drip troughs. HOSP relies on quality and refined
details for all its products. The LIQUID-RD series
is made for fitting to shutoff pipes of 1 1 / 2
" to 2"
diameter, and can be fixed using circular or flat
clamping devices. The drillhole dimensions have
been set out in accordance with DIN, and can be
fitted to almost any stall shape. LIQUID-WD bowls
are suitable for fixing to masonry or walls. For ideal
usage, HOSP recommends at least 2 drinking
locations for each animal group and 10 animals
per RD/10 and WD/10; 20 animals per RD/20.
