Easter Greetings
March was quite a busy month for the Confraternity of the
Knights of St. Peter & St. Paul. The grand chapter of
Melbourne started the month by taking part in the feast of St.
Francis of Paola at the Calabria Club in Bulla. On Sunday 22
March, we were invited to take part in the celebration ' Walk
with Mary ' and on Sunday, 29 March, we organized a
luncheon to raise money for the Royal Melbourne Children's
Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
The luncheon was our first event at the Nancye Kirchner Neighbourhood Centre in
Avondale Heights. The Centre was given to us for free by the Moonee Valley City
Council. Most of our activities in the future will be held at the Centre.
The luncheon was very successful and raised over two thousand dollar, of which
$2000 will be donated to the Royal Melbourne Children's Hospital Good Friday
Appeal.
The food was prepared and cooked by our ladies and friends of the Confraternity.
Many people complimented how good it was.

NEW CROWN - NEW SEALS
This week we made more improvements with the creation of a new crown on the coat
of arms. The old crown was representing a monarchy and as we are not affiliated with
any kingdom, so it had to go.
Thanks to our friend Luis Comilo Alves of Portugal, he created a beautiful crown.
The cross is upside down on the crown, it represents St. Peter who didn't wish to die
upright like his Lord Jesus.
This is very unique coat of arms and something to be proud of.
Also this week we received the new seals of the Confraternity and the grand Master's
We like to ask all chapters to use only logos and coat of arms approved by the
Supreme Council.

GRAND CHAPTER OF MELBOURNE
Celebration walk with Mary
The annual celebration Walk with Mary coincide with the feast of the Annunciation,
is organised by the Combined Societies of Mary.
The celebration took place at St. Patrick's Cathedral on Sunday, 22 March. 2015.
At 2.00 pm the rosary was resited followed by prayers and hymns.
At 3.00 pm. a Mass was celebrated by The Most Rev. Bishop Peter Elliott Auxiliary
bishop of the archdiocese of Melbourne and attended by the
Anglican bishop The Most Rev. Graeme Rutherford and the Very Rev. Dean Dr.
Andreas Loewe.
Afterwards a procession took place from St. Patrick's Cathedral to St. Paul's Anglican
Cathedral for the final prayers.

FUNDRAISING LUCHEON FOR THE ROYAL
MELBOURNE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
The Grand Chapter of the Knights of St. Peter & St. Paul in Melbourne organised a
luncheon on Sunday, 29 March, 2015 to raise money for the Royal Melbourne
Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
This was our first event held in our new home, the Nancye Kirchner Neighbourhood
Centre, a placed owned by the Moonee Valley City Council.

Most of the activities in the future will be held in this place.
The Luncheon raised the sum of $2000 to the Appeal.
This is a significant figures raised by our Confraternity for such a good cause.
The income was higher but obviously there were expenses to be paid.
I take this opportunity to thank the members of the Supreme Council, the ladies of the
auxiliary committee, the helpers and the 110 people who attended this event.
The food was great.
Congratulations to all involved.

GRAND CHAPTER OF AUSTRIA
The Grand Chapter of Austria had their annual general meeting on Sunday 15 March
2015,
At 9.30 am. they met in front of the church dressed in mantles. The Prior Norbert welcomed
the knights and ladies in the church. A Mass was celebrated at St. Clemens Maria Hofbauer.
Afterward they went to the new offices for their annual meeting.
The treasurer presented the financial report, he said that we need money from
membership fees, and certain actions urgently.

The Grand Prior H.E. Simone Mayer in her report commented on the project by Dame
Vivien Rose, she mentioned a mother with two children in need and further
processing by Chev. Andres Wassertheurer and Dame Vivien Rose.
Another project is the orphans in Slovakia. This project is funded by H.E. Dame
Simone Mayer and Dame Vivien Rose. The grand prior praised and thanked the
members and the employees in fixing and setting up the new office.
She also mentioned that the Confraternity now also has an Opel Zafira provided by
Chev. Heribert Berner. Then they had a belated lunch.
The Grand Prior Dame Dr. Simone Mayer thanked everyone who celebrated Mass in
the monastery church.
All the meetings in the future will be held in the new office.
We have been recognized as Humanitarian and social Counselling Centre at the
Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection.
This is another success story for the grand chapter of Austria.
