IbIza – a WInter paradIse!
Real hedonists will appreciate Ibiza most when its beaches are empty, its temperatures pleasantly mild,
its landscape carpeted in green, its flowers in full bloom – and the sun is shining in a bright blue sky, in
stark contrast to other countries where bare trees, grey clouds, rain and snow prevail at this time of year.
During the off-season period, from October to May, the opportunities on Ibiza are infinitely diverse. The
climate serves as the perfect backdrop to all kinds of amazing festivals, major sporting events, culinary
highlights, spa holidays, creative breaks, discovery tours – and all kinds of other activities designed to
pamper your body and soul.
The government of Ibiza has created a new internet platform where holidaymakers, islanders and expats
will not only get a taste of the wide variety of things that the island has to offer, but can also plan
their time on the island down to the very last detail.
Take, for example, “Ibiza es Wellness”, which lists everything needed to keep your health, body and
soul in shape. Or “Ibiza Creativa” – a meeting place for explorers and anyone curious to see more of
Ibiza than just its beaches. And, of course, “Ibiza.Travel”, which tells you all you need to know about Ibiza,
from accommodation options to every conceivable kind of event, ranging from international sports
tournaments to fiestas and culinary shows.
We’ll be presenting all of these platforms to you in this book – along with plenty of other things, too. This
is where you will find information about the highlights the island will be hosting between October and
May: excursions, recommendations, markets, museums – and much more besides.
