Villacher Alpe (Dobratsch)<br />
From the car park Rosstratten (1,730 m) you walk along a broad trail<br />
to the first bend. There you turn into the narrow hiking trail Jägersteig<br />
in the direction of the mountain hut Dobratsch Gipfelhaus. All along<br />
the way you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Karawanken mountain<br />
range and the Julian Alps. The Deutsche Kirche (German church),<br />
located right above the Dobratsch Gipfelhaus is known as the highest<br />
church in the entire Alps (2,166 m). Just below the summit you will<br />
find a second church, the Slovenian church. To return to your starting<br />
point we recommend the less challenging and broader path. During<br />
the entire hiking tour you will be fascinated by the unique panoramic<br />
view. If the weather is fine you may even be lucky to view Austria’s<br />
highest mountain, the Großglockner.<br />
