& Nonnen unterschiedlicher Traditionen besuchen.
19, 10317 Berlin
Meetings & Instructions in English Language
Saturday Practice Day [Uposatha] Systematic Programs to learn original Buddhism
Wat Sacca is a small, friendly place in the Thai Forest Tradition with Ajahn Piyadhammo as resident monk. We are
under the guidance of T.A. Jayasaro, the biographer of Ajahn Cha [‚Stillness Flowing’] and former abbot of Wat Pah
Nana Chat, [the international training monastery of the Ajahn Cha tradition in Thailand].
Tan Piyadhammo is native German from Berlin with experience in the tradition & canonical texts since the late 80s.
Our main focus is on making the original teaching of the Buddha accessible, essentially by getting to know the
Buddha intimately. Contact us for details of programs. We also are in contact with other monasteries and occasionally
have visiting monks and nuns. It is also possible to attend meetings and practice in the manner one is
accustomed, as in traditional Forest Monasteries.
We will always attempt to cater to English-only speakers, which is not difficult given our small size. However,
we also expect to have Meditation & instruction/discussion. Mondays from 6-9 p.m. exclusively in English,
starting from March 2019. – Please let us know if you are interested to attend or confirm commencement of the
meeting via phone/mail or come to one of our other meetings first.
We currently offer Meditation & instruction/discussion Wednesdays 6-9 p.m. and Uposatha [8 precept style]
meetings Saturdays from 11 a.m to 9 p.m.
Everything we do is based on donations only, as in original monasteries.
Our place is at Nöldnerstraße 19, almost opposite of the S-Bhf. Rummelsburg [entrance on the side of the building].
The place is also within walking distance of S Bahnhof Nöldnerplatz or the large S-Bhf. Ostkreuz hub.
