Parts of a page:

‣ CONTENT - Text, in which you can embed links, fotos/pictures, videos and

documents.

‣ TWINBOARD – visual complementary section of a page; interactive board where all

users can post items in the form of videos, pictures, text, files.

‣ POLL – meant to be used as evaluation of the activity, feedback or to agree on

timing/ time questions.

‣ DISCUSSION – users discuss directly about the topic, but discussions are linked to

the forums.

How can we use these pages more effectively?

Example Germany: each teacher/ student logs in at least once a

week and posts, comments or is in any way active.

TEACHERS:

Update pages as necessary (if necessary ask for admin rights)

Pages cannot be deleted, only archived – so plan carefully

TEACHERS AND STUDENTS:

Use the TwinBoard to add pictures, videos, links, etc.

Comment on content or participate in polls

The ‘‘Materials‘‘ section is divided in:

‣ Images (pictures, fotos)

formats: .bmp, .png, .jpg, .gif

‣ Videos

URL from video (YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion)

‣ Files: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF,…

Within these sections you can create folders to organize material, but you cannot

create sub-folders!

Online meetings are divided into two sections, both used to

communicate in real time:

‣ You can access using the online meeting section or just click on

the person that is online on the main page of the project

‣SUGGESTION from us: use this to ask your project partners how

they‘re doing every once in a while

‣NEW STEP: Students use this medium to establish contact

before the project meetings abroad

Online meetings are divided into two sections, both used to

communicate in real time:

Online meetings:

‣use this more often, instead of Skype, for example

‣ Every teacher with admin rights can start one, by registering for

one time slot (between 30 and 90 minutes)

‣ Cannot by accessed by pupils accounts

‣ Can be used in class context (input to think about???)
