EARLY HOURS
morning sun fills the house, creamy as lemon chiffon,
lightening the inside of cupboards and empty closets
and clean bare floors. sunrays flooding the rooms and
being persistent, washing away the dark night, a gonden hue
over every object they can reach. Shining over closed eyelids,
stirring you awake softly and promising a good day ahead,
whispering sweet nothings and drawing a content smile on
your lips. somehow concluding that sunrays are
happiness is the only conclusion to draw
and live by. eyes fluttering open, enjoying
the quiet, being awake with the
birds, while the city still enjoys a
deep slumber.
