In order to defuse the dangerous jamming area between the door edge and the frame, Küffner has developed finger protection doors with a “crumple zone” especially for day-care centers and schools. Two finger protection seals integrated into the door edges significantly reduce the risk of injury on the main and secondary closing edges of a door. The finger protection seal reduces the painful pinching or squeezing of children's fingers due to its flexibility. The shape and geometry of the finger protection doors remain unchanged so that the children can learn to deal with the dangers.
