Leisure Activities and Excursions
Apart from German language classes and seminars, we also offer a large variety of
leisure activities for you to get to know Mannheim and its bars, museums, concert
halls and theatres. Our Hugos will accompany you on these excursions.
Please keep in mind to always be on time for all excursions!!!
Monday, 09.01.2012: Bar-Hopping
Trendy bars and fun pubs – we will show you the “places to be” in Mannheim! Join
us for a few drinks in our favourite bars and pubs downtown. Meet new people,
have some drinks and speak some German in a relaxed atmosphere.
Meeting point: Entrance to palace courtyard Ehrenhof

Tuesday, 10.01.2012: Mannheim City Rallye
Learn how to find your way around in Mannheim: Where is the post office, where
are supermarkets, cinemas, theatres and internet cafés or where is the Mensa? Where
is the university cafeteria hidden? Where is the best restaurant for fast food? We will
send you on a trip through the city.
Meeting point: Entrance to palace courtyard Ehrenhof

Wednesday, 11.01.2012: Eichbaum Brewery Tour I
Beer is a major part of German culture, so come and “taste” our culture! The Eichbaum
brewery is market leader in the Rhine-Neckar-region. During a brewery tour,
you will learn everything about the history of beer, the selection of its ingredients as
well as the process of its production. And of course, you will be able to enjoy samples
of various Eichbaum beers at the end of the tour. Snacks will be served.
