jederzeit erreichbar ist, ist eine solide basisstation Gold wert. So wie 

wir gerade unserem Kunden FACC Gold wert waren (Seite 10-11). 

und weil Informationen wie eben diese oftmals unbeachtet in die 

ewigen Jagdgründe eingehen, halten wir sie ab jetzt in einer neuen 

Zeitung fest. Mit der einführung unseres im Quartalsturnus erscheinenden 

News Journals RO-RA Rotor entscheiden wir uns bewusst für 

eine entfesselnd offene Informationspolitik. Dabei werden auch kritische 

Töne nicht hinter dicken Mauern eingesperrt. Insbesondere die 

Sicht von Mitarbeitern, Kunden und Partnern soll reflektiert werden, 

denn SIe sind Mittäter unserer unternehmenskultur. 

Das Ziel ist Transparenz, und so können Sie direkt in der ersten 

Ausgabe Indizien zu den unternehmen der RO-RA Gruppe (Seite 

8-9) sammeln. Wir möchten internes Wissen mit Ihnen teilen. Denn 

Kommunikation bleibt der Schlüssel jeder erfolgreichen beziehung. 

Vielleicht kommen Sie uns auf die Spur und verfolgen uns auf die 

nächste Messe (Seite 7). Die beweislage ist klar, RO-RA kommt 

nicht zu den Akten. behalten Sie uns auf unserem Weg in ein wirklich

Dear Reader, 

Crime scene future. RO-RA invites you to revisit the scene. The 

new, futuristic production and administration facility in Schörfling 

is a successful coup in the history of the company. Yesterday the 

area still cordoned off onlookers; today it is already the site of 

industrious work. Only images (page 5-6) speak of the things of 

the past. With the new plant, new times have dawned. Everything 

is focussed on the future, for which the next generation is already 

planning the new masterpieces (page 12-13). 

Today – in times of liberty, where nearly every employee worldwide 

can be reached at any time, a solid base is worth gold. Like 

we were worth gold to our customer FACC (page 10-11). And 

since information such as this often disappears without leaving fingerprints, 

from now on, we will publish it in our new newspaper. 

With the introduction of our quarterly News Journal RO-RA Rotor 

we have made a decision in favour of open information policies. 

Even critical tones will not be kept behind thick walls. Especially 

the viewpoint of employees, customers and partners will be reflected, 

because YOU are an accomplice of our company culture. 

Objective is transparency, and to that end you can collect indices 

in regard to the affiliates of the RO-RA group in our first issue (page 

8-9). We would like to share our internal knowledge with you. 

Communication remains the key to any successful relationship. 

Get a warrant to search for us; maybe you even follow us to the 

next trade show (page 7). The evidence is clear; RO-RA will not 

be hidden in the archives. Keep an eye on us during our journey

War doch der Spatenstich bei Minusgraden 

im März 2008 ein vergleichsweise 

eher unwesentliches Hindernis auf dem 

Weg zum zukunftsweisenden RO-RA Produktions- 

und bürogebäude im österreichischen 

Schörfling am Attersee. Das mühevolle 

einstechen der metallenen Spaten ins 

gefrorene erdreich gab nur einen kleinen 

Vorgeschmack auf das Chaos, das noch 

kommen sollte, als die realen bagger über 

das Gelände rollten. Stein um Stein entstand 

zügig die neue Heimat der RO-RAs. 

Doch was sich bereits in der Planungsphase 

abgezeichnet hatte, hielt auch während 

der bauphase an: Geht es vielleicht doch

Neues RO-RA Werk: Brücke zwischen 

Fertigung und Verwaltung geschaffen 

Warum sich ein architekt die Haare rauft und das Betriebsklima optimal ist 

ein wenig größer? Schöner? Zweckmäßiger? 

Warum nicht gleich einfach ein wenig 

perfekter? 

Der ständige Wunsch nach Änderungen, 

die das Großprojekt weiter optimierten, ließ 

Architekt Helmut Plursch keine ruhige Minute. 

Doch die Mannschaft um den bauprofi 

leistete ganze Arbeit. Welche Innovationsidee 

das RO-RA Projektteam bestehend aus 

Josef Schneeweiss und Anna-Maria Lohberger 

auch immer an die Truppe herantrug – 

es wurde diskutiert, entworfen, geplant und 

umgesetzt. und das ergebnis kann sich 

sehen lassen! 2.600 m² Halle und 650 m² 

bürogebäude geben RO-RA Raum für Produktivität, 

Kreativität und Innovation. 

Es wird! büro und Halle nehmen Formen an.

Das Design der neuen RO-RA basis ist so 

angelegt, dass eine brücke büro- und Produktionsbereich 

verbindet. Dieser Übergang 

zwischen den Arealen ist keineswegs nur 

zweckdienlich, sondern vielmehr ein Symbol 

der engen Verbindung von Fertigung, 

Verwaltung und Technik. Die glasummantelte 

eingangshalle bietet im Obergeschoss 

Veranstaltungen großzügigen Platz. eine 

ausgefeilte Heizungs- und Klimatechnik – 

mit der bei minimalem energieaufwand der 

gesamte Komplex im Winter geheizt und 

im Sommer klimatisiert wird – bringt indes 

einen wertvollen Obolus an die umwelt. 

Dank der Verankerung der zentralen Kühlmittelversorgung 

des Maschinenparks im 

betonboden, bleibt das architektonische 

Design auch in der Produktion dominant. 

Intensiver Lichteinfall und weiße Wände, 

die diesen effekt duplizieren, schaffen 

optimale Arbeitsbedingungen für das Fertigungsteam. 

büro, Montage, Qualitätssicherung 

und Meisterei sind klimatisiert, um 

auch dort ein herausragendes Arbeitsklima 

zu schaffen. Der unternehmenswert: „unsere 

Mitarbeiter sind unsere wichtigste Ressource“ 

wurde bei Planung und umsetzung 

des bauprojektes stets bedacht – ging es 

schließlich um die neue Heimat der RO-RAs. 

und diese hat neben ausgeklügeltem Design 

und idealem Arbeitsambiente weit 

mehr zu bieten. Wurde mit Schörfling am 

Attersee doch nicht zuletzt auch eine clevere 

Standortentscheidung getroffen. Die


hervorragende Infrastruktur samt bester 

Verkehrsanbindung durch die Autobahn 

A1Salzburg – Wien gaben den Ausschlag. 

bei den RO-RA Mitarbeitern fand der 

brandneue Komplex begeistert Anklang. 

Der umzug vom Mietgelände in Attnang- 

Puchheim ins eigene RO-RA Reich dauerte 

dank perfekter Planung nur drei Tage. Als 

die LKWs mit den letzten Maschinen auf 

den Hof rollten, waren die ersten schon 

wieder in betrieb. 

Doch was wäre RO-RA ohne konstantes 

Streben: ein wenig größer, schöner, zweckmäßiger, 

perfekter? Direkt nach dem einzug 

im Oktober 2008 wurde das für den 

erweitungsbau gedachte Obergeschoss 

fertig ausgebaut und bereits im Januar 

2009 bezogen. 

Im März schon wurde die neu errichtete 

Halle adaptiert, Maschinen umgestellt, neuer 

Raum geschaffen. Künftig können so die 

notwendigen Fertigungs-, Veredelungs- und 

Prüfschritte des RO-RA Kunden Rolls-Royce 

im Haus durchgeführt werden. 

Das neue Werk ist ein Meilenstein der 

Firmengeschichte. Aber eben nur einer. 

Weitere Veränderungen? Kein Problem!

Fortschrittliche, helle Produktionsräume waren ein Muss.

Building a bridge between 

production and administration 

Why the architect was tearing his hair out and the new 

building is perfect for RO-RA 

Biting frost? Freezing fingers? No problem! 

Considering, the cut of the spade during 

minus degrees in March 2008 was only a 

minor obstacle on the path to the groundbreaking 

RO-RA production and administration 

facility in the Austrian Schörfling at the 

Attersee. The difficult piercing of the metal 

spade into the frozen soil was just a little foretaste 

of the chaos to come when the real 

excavators rolled over the building site. 

Brick by brick, the new home of 

RO-RA was built. But what had already 

started during the planning stage continued 

through the construction phase: Can we 

do it just a little bit bigger? Nicer? Even 

more functional? Why not simply make it 

more perfect? 

The continuous desire for modifications in 

order to further optimise the giant project 

did not leave the architect Helmut Plursch 

any time to rest. But the team around the 

construction professional did a splendid 

job. Whatever innovation the RO-RA pro- 

ject planners Mr. Josef Schneeweiss and 

Mrs. Anna-Maria Lohberger came up 

with – it was discussed, drafted, planned 

and implemented. And the result is quite 

something! 2,600 square metres production 

area and 650 square metres of office 

space give RO-RA room for productivity, 

creativity and innovation. 

The design of the new RO-RA base is such 

that a bridge connects the office space 

to the production floor. This link between 

the areas is not only functional but also a 

symbol of the close connection between 

production, administration and engineering. 

The glass-coated entry lobby offers 

extensive space for events in the first floor. 

An elaborated heating and air-conditioning 

system – which heats the whole complex 

during winter and provides air-condition 

during summer with a minimum of energy 

– contributes to the environment. 

Thanks to the embodiment of the central 

coolant of the machinery in the concrete

floor, the architectonic design remains 

dominant in the production area as well. 

Intensive light and white walls multiply the 

light effects and create optimised working 

conditions for the production team. Spaces 

for offices, assembly, quality assurance and 

engineering are air-conditioned in order to 

ensure a perfect working environment. The 

corporate value: “Our employees are our 

most important resource” has always been 

considered during the planning stage and 

implementation of the construction process 

– after all, this is RO-RA’s new home! 

And this new home can offer so much more 

than just elaborate design and perfect wor-

offiziellen eröffnung der brandneuen RO-RA 

Produktions- und betriebsstätte haben wir einen 

Meilenstein unserer Firmengeschichte gesetzt. 

Der moderne Gebäudekomplex realisiert unser 

ausgewiesenes Ziel, unseren Kunden die gesamte 

Produktpalette aus einer Hand anzubieten: 

Gummiteile aus der RO-RA Produktion in Italien, 

Kunststoffprodukte hergestellt von RO-RA Irland 

und nun Metallartikel aus der neuen Fertigung im 

österreichischen Schörfling. 

Als strategische basis symbolisiert das neue 

Areal den Ausgangspunkt, von dem aus wir in 

ein neues RO-RA Zeitalter schreiten, auf dem 

Weg zur eroberung neuer Märkte. branchen 

der Zukunft sind für uns Luft- und Raumfahrt sowie 

Medizintechnik. Gerade angesichts der aktuell 

angespannten Weltwirtschaftslage und stetig 

härter werdender globaler Konkurrenz sehen 

wir die eröffnung einer neuen Fertigung als Positivprämisse. 

Traditionell wurde auch diese entscheidung 

konsequent durchdacht, kalkuliert und

RO-RA employees were most excited about

The relocation from the rented premises in 

Attnang-Puchheim into the very own RO-RA 

property was finalised in only three days – 

thanks to perfect planning. When the trucks 

with the last pieces of machinery arrived at 

the new location, the first machines were 

already back in operation.

Wir brechen auf zu neuen Märkten in Südamerika, 

Russland, Mitteleuropa und im Nahen Osten. 

Mit erhöhter Messepräsenz in eben diesen Gebieten 

stärken wir unseren Vertrieb. und schon 

jetzt gibt uns der erfolg der letzten Messen recht, 

unsere Strategie geht auf. Wir verweigern uns 

dem Stillstand, die Weichen sind gestellt.

Growth, competitiveness, vision and openness 

to the world are principles of successful businesses. 

With the official opening of the brand new 

RO-RA production and office plant, we have set 

a milestone in our company’s history. The modern 

building complex realises our explicit goal 

to offer the entire product range from one source

Shortly after moving in October 2008, the 

extension of the first floor has been finished 

and has been in service since January 

2009. In March already, the newly built 

sheds were adapted, machinery was relocated 

and new space was created. 

In the future, the necessary production, finishing 

and testing by the RO-RA customer 

Rolls-Royce can be carried out right on the 

premises. The new plant is a milestone in 

the company’s history. But only just one. 

More inventions? No problem!

As a strategic base, the new property symbolises 

the starting point from where we will write a 

new RO-RA age, on our way to conquer new 

markets. Future industries for us are aviation and 

astronautics as well as medical technology. Especially 

in view of the currently strained world 

economy and increasingly growing global competition 

we see the opening of a new plant as 

a positive step ahead. As always, this decision 

was carefully weighted, calculated and implemented 

with the cooperation of the entire international 

RO-RA team. 

The site in Schörfling – with its perfect geographical 

location near the motorway A1 – leaves 

room for the future: Extension, additional 

buildings and the optional purchase of further 

property can be easily realised. If RO-RA keeps 

growing as foreseen, further extension as soon 

as 2010 or 2011 are no utopia. An increase in 

the Austrian RO-RA workforce from currently 30 

to future 60 employees is thinkable. 

We are entering new markets in South America, 

Russia, Central Europe and the Middle East. 

With an increased presence on trade fairs in 

exactly those regions we will strengthen our distribution. 

And the success of the last trade shows 

proves us right – our strategy is working. We 

reject standstill. The future has been planned.

Dubai – devisenstark, ungewöhnlich, baugewaltig, 

atemberaubend, innovativ. Die 

Stadt mit rund 1,5 Millionen einwohnern 

gilt vielen besuchern als die größte, mächtigste, 

dominanteste und pulsierendste Metropole 

der Welt. Superlative, die laut Messemanagement 

auch bei der elften Dubai 

Airshow vom 15. bis zum 19. November 

2009 aller Orts sichtbar werden sollen. 

Gilt diese doch als eine der am schnellstwachsenden 

Luftfahrtschauen weltweit. 

und RO-RA ist erstmals mit dabei! Nach der 

IDeX in Abu Dhabi ist RO-RA nun auch auf 

der Dubai Airshow vertreten. In der West 

Hall am Austria Stand erwartet ein speziell 

konstruiertes Messemodell einer Flugzeugkabine 

samt Gepäckkasten, welches den 

einsatz der RO-RA bauteile präsentiert, das 

versierte Fachpublikum. RO-RA Kernkompetenzen 

wie die entwicklungs- und Fertigungsmöglichkeiten 

für hoch innovative 

Flugzeugkomponenten wie Shockmounts, 

Tie Rods ebenso wie auch komplexe 

Assemblies werden veranschaulicht. 

Den 21m² großen Stand auf der Dubai 

Airshow betreut ein sechsköpfiges, internationales 

Team der RO-RA Gruppe, welches 

aus Österreich, Italien und Irland in 

die Vereinigten Arabischen emirate fliegt. 

Zudem hat RO-RA bei der Reise nach Dubai 

auch den druckfrischen „RO-RA Rotor“ 

im Gepäck. 

Die Teilnahme an der Dubai Airshow ist für 

RO-RA im Zuge der Relevanz dieser Ausstellung 

in der weltweiten Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie 

selbstverständlich. Denn in 

der Stadt der Superlative sind schon heute 

alle Flügelklappen auf Start gestellt. Dubai 

und Abu Dhabi „fliegen“ der Ausweitung 

ihrer Stellung im Segment Luftfahrtzulieferung 

entgegen. Schon jetzt sind zahlreiche Airbus 

Flugzeuge im besitz der emirate. Auch 

der RO-RA Kunde FACC hat einige seiner 

Superlative sind Teil des Alltags in Dubai. 

Superlatives are commonplace in Dubai. 

Programme an die dort ansässige Firma 

Mubadala verkauft. einige RO-RA Kunststoffteile 

der A330/A340 Serie werden in 

den kommenden Jahren nicht mehr in Österreich 

sondern in Dubai verbaut werden.

Dubai – daring, unusual, breathtaking, 

admirable, innovative. For many visitors, the 

city with approximately 1.5 million inhabitants 

is the biggest, most powerful, most dominant 

and vibrant metropolis worldwide. 

According to the trade show management, 

the eleventh Dubai Airshow taking place 

from the 15 th to the19 th of November 2009 

will show superlatives all over the place. 

The Dubai Airshow is one of the fastest 

growing aviation shows worldwide. 

And RO-RA will participate for the first 

time! In addition to the IDEX in Abu Dhabi, 

RO-RA will now also be represented at the 

Dubai Air Show. In the West Hall at the 

Austrian stand, a model airplane cabin specially 

constructed for the show presents the 

RO-RA designed parts to the professional 

trade audience. RO-RAs core competences 

such as the development and production 

opportunities for highly innovative aircraft 

components like shock mounts, tie rods and 

complex assemblies will be on display. 

The 21 square metres stand at the Dubai 

Airshow will be manned by a team of six 

international members of the RO-RA Group, 

flying in to the United Arab Emirates from 

Austria, Italy and Ireland. In addition, 

RO-RA brings its newly printed RO-RA Rotor 

News Journal. 

RO-RA’s participation in the Dubai Air- 

show is a must, considering the relevance 

of the show for the international aviation 

and astronautics industry. In the city of 

the superlatives, all flaps are already set 

for take-off. Dubai and Abu Dhabi “fly” towards 

the improvement of their position in 

the aviation supply segment. The Emirates 

own many Airbus airplanes already. RO-RA 

customer FACC AG has sold some of its 

programmes to the local Mubadala company. 

Some RO-RA plastic components for 

the A330/A340 series will be designed 

in Dubai in the coming years, instead of in 

Austria. About time to catch the plane!

Seit 2006 liefert RO-RA Metall-, Kunststoff-, 

Gummiformteile und Assemblies für die 

FACC Programme Airbus A320, A380, 

A330/A340, Rolls Royce, bombardier, 

embraer, ARJ sowie eurocopter. Mit dem erhalt 

des FACC Preises sieht sich RO-RA zur 

gleichen Zeit bestätigt und herausgefordert. 

RO-RA Managing Director Josef Fellinger erklärte: 

„eine solche Auszeichnung bedeutet 

nicht nur belohnung sondern zugleich auch 

Ansporn. Wir sehen den Award in Gold

Since 2006 RO-RA supplies FACC with 

metal, plastic and rubber parts as well as 

assemblies for the FACC programs Airbus 

A320, A380, A330/A340, Rolls Royce, 

Bombardier, Embraer, ARJ and Eurocopter. 

With receiving the FACC award RO-RA 

sees itself confirmed and challenged at the 

same time. RO-RA Managing Director Josef 

Fellinger states: “Such an honour is not just 

a reward but just as much an incentive. We 

look at the award in gold as an exceptional 

acknowledgement and as an obligation 

concerning the quality of our work. We will 

not deviate from our aim, to always be a

sprach er über Lieferantenanforderungen, spezielle Leistungsansprüche der 

Luftfahrtindustrie und die Auszeichnung der FACC Top-Lieferanten: den excellent 

Supplier Award. Im Mai dieses Jahres wurde die begehrte Trophäe 

für das Jahr 2008 in Gold, Silber und bronze verliehen – RO-RA schaffte

gibt es die ausbildung in der 

ro-ra Gruppe. im rotor 

beschreibt Wolfgang reiter, 

lehrling der ersten Stunde 

bei ro-ra Österreich, seine 

Erfahrungen aus der lehrzeit 

im Unternehmen: 

Im Sommer 2006 begann ich meine Lehre 

als Zerspanungstechniker bei RO-RA 

am erst kurz zuvor gegründeten Standort 

Attnang-Puchheim. Als erster Lehrling des 

jungen betriebes bekam ich hautnah mit, 

wie sich die heranwachsende Firma entwickelte. 

Dabei wurde ich öfters mit außergewöhnlichen 

Arbeiten konfrontiert, die sich 

durch das schnelle Wachstum des betriebs 

ergaben. Mein Tätigkeitsbereich war von 

Anfang an sehr nahe an der Produktion 

unserer komplizierten Dreh-Frästeile und 

erstreckte sich vom Arbeiten mit den Produkten 

über kleinere Reparaturen unseres 

modernen Maschinenparks bis hin zum 

Zuschnitt. ein Jahr nach beginn meiner Lehrzeit, 

stieß im Sommer 2007 ein neuer Auszubildender 

zum Team. Schnell übernahm 

der neue Lehrling meine Arbeiten, wodurch 

ich mich auf komplexere Aufgaben konzentrieren 

konnte.

Abheben ins Berufsleben 

Mit viel eigeninitiative und gutem Rat der 

Herren Schneeweiss und Mader bei Rückfragen 

meinerseits, konnte ich schon früh im 

zweiten Lehrjahr selbstständig an den kleineren 

Maschinen Teile programmieren und 

produzieren. In dieser Zeit wuchs der betrieb 

weiter und die Halle in Attnang wurde 

schnell zu klein. Deswegen begann in 

Schörfling am Attersee der bau einer neuen 

Halle. Im neuen Gebäude wurde dann 

auch endlich eine Lehrwerkstätte eingerichtet 

– was dringend notwendig war. Da die 

Firma noch jung ist, besteht zum Leidwe-

sen der Auszubildenden – die mittlerweile 

auf fünf Leute angewachsen sind (zwei im 

büro, drei in der Produktion) – noch kein 

genauer Lehrplan. Allerdings arbeitet das 

Management gemeinsam mit den Lehrlingen 

mittlerweile daran. 

Mein Resümee aus mittlerweile drei Jahren 

Lehrzeit bei RO-RA ist durchweg positiv. Ich 

denke, es ist von Vorteil für die Lehrlinge, 

so nah am Geschehen ausgebildet zu werden. 

Wir werden nicht mit Samthandschuhen 

angefasst, wir sind von Anfang an ein 

Teil des Teams!

Boredom was yesterday. Today, there is apprenticeship within 

the RO-RA group. In ROTOR Wolfgang Reiter, RO-RA 

Austria’s “pioneer” apprentice, describes his experiences 

during the apprenticeship with the company: 

In the summer of 2006 I started my apprenticeship as a technician with RO-RA located 

in Attnang-Puchheim, which had only recently been opened. 

As the first trainee of a young company I got a deep insight on how the growing business 

developed. Along the way I was often confronted with extraordinary jobs that arose 

because of the quick growth of the company. Right from the start my duties were pretty 

much centred on the production of our complex swivel and milling parts. They ranged 

from working with the actual parts to smaller maintenance of our modern machinery. 

One year after my apprenticeship began, in the summer of 2007 a new trainee joined 

our team. Quickly the new trainee took over my daily duties, which allowed me to focus 

on even more advanced tasks. 

With a lot of personal initiative and good advice from Mr. Schneeweiss and Mr. Mader, 

I was able to program and manufacture parts at the smaller machines early in my second 

year of apprenticeship. In the meanwhile the business grew further and the factory 

building in Attnang soon turned out to be too small. Therefore the construction of a new 

production facility started in Schörfling at the Attersee. 

Eventually in the new factory a training workshop was set up – which was at that stage 

long overdue. Although there are five trainees by now (two in the office, three in the 

production department) there still is – much to the disappointment of the apprentices – 

no exact syllabus due to the fact that the company is still very young. However, RO-RA 

management and RO-RA trainees are currently working together to develop such a 

programme. 

Looking back on my three years of apprenticeship in RO-RA I see the entire time as 

mainly positive. I think it is a huge advantage for trainees to be educated so close to the 

actual operations. A lot is expected of us; we are part of the team – from day one!

Erfolg in der Mozartstadt

Modernste technologien präsentierte RO-RA auf 

der euroSuPPLY./Advanced technologies were 

presented by RO-RA on the euroSUPPLY. 

Nicht wegen der deliziösen Mozartkugeln 

oder um auf den Spuren des namhaften 

Komponisten zu wandeln, zog es viele besucher 

des berühmten Ortes vom 23. bis 

zum 25. Juni 2009 nach Salzburg. Vielmehr 

fanden sich zahlreiche namhafte Zulieferer 

von Teilen, Komponenten und Technologien 

aus ganz europa als Aussteller

der euroSuPPLY im Mozartstädtchen ein. 

Die euroSuPPLY dient als Informations- und 

beschaffungsplattform, die speziell auf die 

Anforderungen des Zuliefermarktes ausgerichtet 

ist und hierbei insbesondere auf die 

Fahrzeugindustrie sowie den Maschinen- 

und Anlagenbau. 

erstmals war auch RO-RA mit einem eigenen 

Messestand vertreten. Gemeinsam 

mit ihrem Zulieferer und Partner, der belgischen 

Firma Mockel kGA, präsentierte sich 

RO-RA dem interessierten Fachpublikum auf 

der Messe. Dabei wurden neben dem breiten 

Fertigungsspektrum des unternehmens 

die eingesetzten, modernsten Technologien 

ebenso wie das vorhandene Know-How im 

bereich Zerspanungstechnik gezeigt. 

Aber auch die Herstellung von Kunststoff- 

und Gummiartikeln der RO-RA Gruppe

Auf der berufsinformationsmesse im 

österreichischen Vöcklabruck teilte Mayrhofer 

sein Wissen mit bildungshungrigen 

Siebt- und Achtklässlern. Am 25. und 26. 

Juni 2009 öffnete die ReVA-Halle ihre Türen, 

um jungen Menschen verschiedene berufsbilder 

nahezubringen. 

An mehreren Stationen wurden die 

Jugendlichen über diverse berufe informiert 

und scheuten sich nicht Nachfragen 

zu stellen. Die Metallverarbeitung wurde 

durch die Höhere Technische Lehranstalt 

(HTL) Vöcklabruck, die Firmen STIWA und 

Gassner sowie RO-RA präsentiert.

supplier’s markets and is targeted at the 

automobile industry as well as mechanical 

engineering and plant manufacturing.

for the first time. Together with its supplier 

and partner, the Belgian company 

Mockel kGA, RO-RA presented itself to the

Higher Technical Institute Vöcklabruck, as 

well as the companies STIWA and Gassner, 

RO-RA presented the metal production. 

Mayrhofer’s descriptive explanations were 

especially interesting for the eager visitors. 

In total, some 650 schoolchildren visited. 

After the youngsters had their go, the parents 

got their opportunity to visit the exhibition 

during the afternoon in order to get infected 

with education by the RO-RA team.

kamen zum Stelldichein auf die Paris 

Air Show nordöstlich der französischen 

Hauptstadt. 

Die 1909 aus der Wiege gehobene 

Veranstaltung auf dem Flughafengelände 

Le bourget zelebrierte mit der 48. Show 

vom 15. bis 21. Juni 2009 zeitgleich 

ihre 100-jährige Geschichte. Gründe genug 

für die RO-RA Produktions GmbH in 

diesem Jahr erstmals auch als Aussteller 

die internationale bühne in Le bourget zu 

betreten. Nach der eröffnung durch den 

französischen Premierminister François 

Fillon, durfte die Air Show später auch den 

französischen Präsidenten Nicolas Sarkozy 

zu ihren Gästen zählen. 

Für RO-RA standen indes die zahlreichen 

Fachbesucher im Vordergrund. Mittels 

eines Vorführmodels wurden diesen die 

RO-RA Kernkompetenzen präsentiert. 

Darunter die entwicklungs- und Fertigungs- 

möglichkeiten für hoch innovative Flugzeugkomponenten 

wie Shockmounts, Tie Rods 

und komplexe Assemblies. Speziell die 

neuen Shockmount-Kompetenzen und daraus 

resultierende Möglichkeiten weckten 

großes Interesse. Konzepte zur Kosten- und 

Gewichtseinsparung stießen insbesondere 

bei den OeMs auf lebhafte Resonanz. 

Louis Le Portz, Generalkommissar der Ausstellung, 

kommentierte: „Die Pariser Air 

Show fand zwar vor dem Hintergrund der 

weltweiten Wirtschaftskrise statt, entpuppte 

sich aber dennoch als eine besonders 

erfolgreiche Fachmesse und ein äußerst 

starker Publikumsmagnet.“ 

So reflektieren etliche neue Anfragen und 

Kooperationsvereinbarungen mit Neukunden 

den herausragenden Messeerfolg für 

die RO-RA Gruppe. und die nächste Frankreich-Reise 

ist bereits in Planung.

Paris Air Show: Success at the 

Le Bourget jubilee fair 

France is always a nice destination. Especially, 

when the country – where the sky 

meets the earth – is all about the aerospace 

industry for seven days: 380.000 visitors, 

2.000 exhibitors from 48 countries and 

more than 3.000 journalists met at the Paris 

Air Show northeast of the French capital. 

Launched in 1909 the event on the grounds 

of the Le Bourget airport celebrated its 48th show from the 15th to the 21st of June this 

year and commemorated its 100-year history 

at the same time. Reason enough for 

the RO-RA Produktions GmbH to step onto 

the international stage at Le Bourget as an 

exhibitor for the first time. After the opening 

by the French premier François Fillon, 

the Air Show was later also visited by the 

French president Nicolas Sarkozy. 

However, RO-RA’s focus at the fair was on 

the many trade visitors. RO-RAs advanced 

mock-up on display enabled trade visitors 

to learn more about the RO-RA core capabilities, 

such as research and development 

following on with the production of highly 

innovative aircraft components – like shock 

mounts, tie rods and complex assemblies. 

Great interest was shown in RO-RAs capability 

to produce the new shockmount-system 

and the huge advantages it provides, 

such as cost and weight reductions. These 

advantages were recognised in particular 

by the OEMs. 

Louis Le Portz, the show’s chief executive, 

commented: “Though the 100 th Paris Air 

Show opened against the backdrop of 

the global economic crisis, it has been a 

particularly successful professional event 

and a very popular outing with the public.“ 

Plenty of new inquiries and cooperation 

agreements with new customers reflect the 

huge success of the Air Show for the RO-RA 

group. And the next journey to France is 

already being planned.

Neue Ansätze/New approaches der Zusammenarbeit 

suchten und fanden die Mitarbeiter der österreichischen RO-RA 

Produktions GmbH im Seminar „Miteinander erfolgreich“ am Attersee. 

Obschon kurzfristig organisiert, wurde die Veranstaltung dennoch begeistert 

angenommen – reflektiert durch eine 100prozentige Teilnahme. 

unter der Leitung von Mag. Herbert Dachs-Machatschek drehte sich 

alles um ein intensiveres Kennenlernen des RO-RA Teams untereinander, 

Optimierungsstrategien, Schwerpunkte der Ausbildung sowie Zukunftsziele 

und -perspektiven des rasant wachsenden unternehmens. 

New approaches were found during the seminar “Successful together” 

where the employees of the Austrian RO-RA Produktions GmbH looked 

for new work strategies. Although organised at short notice, the seminar 

has been received favourably – reflected by a 100% participation rate. 

Presented by Mag. Herbert Dachs-Machatschek it focussed on a 

deeper level of getting to know the other RO-RA team members, optimisation 

strategies, focus of the training program and future goals and 

perspectives of the rapidly growing enterprise. 

Neue Märkte/New Markets erobert die RO-RA 

Produktions GmbH aus Schörfling: Mit hochqualitativen Titanteilen 

drängt RO-RA erfolgreich in die Sparte Dental der Medizintechnik 

vor./New markets conquered by RO-RA Produktions GmbH: RO-RA 

successfully enters the dental segment of medical technology with highquality 

titanium parts.

Neue Auslegungen/New configurations 

der Haltesysteme des Flight Crew Rest Compartments (Cockpit vorne) 

und des Cabin Crew Rest Compartments (oberhalb der Kabine) im 

A350 erstellt die österreichische RO-RA Produktions GmbH./New configurations 

of the fairlead systems of the Flight Crew Rest Compartment 

(flight deck, front) and the Cabin Crew Rest Compartments (above the 

cabin) in the A350 are being made by the Austrian RO-RA branch. 

Neue Räumlichkeiten/New space errichtet 

die ROMe Tools GmbH im Zuge einer erweiterung des betriebes. 

Das im bau befindliche Areal ist speziell für die Anwendungstechnik 

geplant./New space is needed at ROME Tools GmbH. The company 

is building a new facility with a view to extending its operation. The 

area under construction will be for “development engineering”. 

Neue Projekte/New projects für die Zu- 

lieferung des AuDI A6 übernimmt RO-RA Irland in Zusammenarbeit mit 

RO-RA Deutschland: Nippel, Restrictor, Flowguides und Halter werden 

im irischen Tralee gefertigt. Des Weiteren wurde ein Akustiksieb für 

den Audi Q7 konstruiert. Aktuell wird an einem Wellendichtring ebenfalls 

für Audifahrzeuge gearbeitet./New projects regarding the supply 

of the Audi A6 for RO-RA Ireland in cooperation with RO-RA Germany 

– nipples, restrictors, flow guides and holders are being produced in 

Tralee, the Irish branch of RO-RA. Further, an acoustic screening equipment 

was constructed for the Audi Q7, and currently a shaft seal, also 

for Audi vehicles, is also being constructed.
