Und jetzt zu den Kindern 2007. Die 

Kollektion 2007 ist eine außergewöhnliche 

Kollektion – sehr bewegt und bewegend. 

Haben Sie schon einmal eine so 

ausgelassene und lebendige Kinderschar 

gesehen? Man hat das Gefühl, mittendrin 

zu sein. Die Fröhlichkeit steckt an und sie 

erinnert uns an unsere Kinderzeit. 

Mit einem Jungen und achtzehn Mädels 

werden Sie auf den nächsten Seiten sehr 

viel Spaß haben. Und kein Kind gleicht 

dem anderen. Ich habe nur Einzelköpfe 

modelliert und für die 19 Puppen habe ich 

genauso viele Gliedmaßen modelliert wie 

für die 34 Puppen im Vorjahr. Die Arme 

von Eddie habe ich exklusiv nur für ihn 

gemacht. Und Lizzi hat alle Körperteile 

exklusiv: Körper, Arme und Beine. Für 

die Club Puppen und Club Minis habe 

ich selbstverständlich wie jedes Jahr alle 

Körperteile exklusiv modelliert. 

Meine Puppen werden immer exklusiver 

und lebendiger. Schauen Sie sich nur die

But lets now get straight to the 2007 

Himstedt Kinder. The 2007 collection is quite 

extraordinary – a very moving collection, both 

physically and emotionally. Have you seen such 

a bunch of jolly and lively children before? You 

get the feeling you’re in the thick of it with them. 

Their happiness is infectious and it reminds us of 

our childhood. 

You’ll have lots of fun over the following pages 

meeting one boy and eighteen girls. Not one child 

is like the other. I have only modelled singly used 

heads for this collection and I’ve modelled as 

many limbs for the 19 dolls this year as I have 

for the 34 dolls of the previous year. For example 

I’ve made Eddie’s arms exclusively for him. And 

Lizzi’s body parts are all exclusive to her: body, 

arms and legs. For the Club dolls and Club Minis 

I have of course modelled exclusive body parts as 

well, as I do every year. 

My dolls are becoming increasingly more 

exclusive and more engaging. Look into their

Hier sehen Sie drei der fünf verschieden Hauttöne der 2007er Kollektion.

Ich habe in dieser Kollektion fünf verschiedene 

Hauttöne, die in der Übersicht mit „F1“ bis „F5“ 

benannt sind. „F“ ist der Buchstabe für das Jahr 

2007. „F1“ entspricht der hellsten Farbe und „F5“ der 

dunkelsten. So können Sie sehen, welchen Hautton Ihre 

Lieblingspuppe hat. Die Abstufungen der Hauttöne sind 

zart, aber trotzdem merkbar. 

Hüte Hats 

Dass ich den Mädels Hüte gemacht habe, 

hat sich einfach so ergeben. Ich habe mit 

Lizzi angefangen und ich konnte dann nicht 

mehr aufhören. Einer ist schöner 

und individueller geworden als der andere. 

Es sind sechs verschiedene Hutformen, fünf verschiedene 

Schirmkopfbänder und ein Käppchen. Sie sehen sie in 

12 verschiedenen Samtfarben, die wir alle hier in der 

Manufaktur selbst färben. 

Insgesamt färben wir ca. 1.600 m Samt in Handarbeit. 

Stellen Sie sich das einmal vor. Jedes Mädchen hat den für 

sie bestimmten Hut oder die passende Kappe bekommen. 

Nur Eddie hat sich standhaft geweigert eine Mütze oder 

einen Hut aufzusetzen!

I have developed five different skin hues for this 

collection, which are labelled F1 to F5 in the doll 

overview. ‘F’ is the letter for the year 2007. ‘F1’ is the 

lightest colour and ‘F5’ the darkest. This way you can see 

what skin hue your favourite doll has. The steps in the 

colour variation are subtle but still noticeable. 

I’d now like to tell you about the denim clothes: All 

denim items are hand-treated here at the manufactory. 

The fact that all the girls wear a hat, 

happened for no particular reason. I 

started with Lizzi and found I couldn’t 

stop. One turned out to be more 

beautiful than the next. There are 

six different hat shapes, five different visor 

headbands and one bonnet. You can see 

them in 12 different velvet colours, all of which 

are hand-dyed here in the manufactory. 

All in all we dye about 1,600 metres (1,750 

yards) of velvet by hand. Just picture this. Each 

girl received the hat, headband or bonnet to 

suit her. Only Eddie remained resistant to this 

day to wear a hat or cap! 

Und jetzt möchte ich Ihnen etwas über die Jeanskleidung 

erzählen: Alle Jeanssachen behandeln wir hier in der 

Manufaktur selbst. Wir waschen sie zuerst mit hohen 

Temperaturen. Dann werden sie mit Steinen gewaschen 

(stone-washed). Danach bekommen sie eine sehr 

aufwendige Spezialbehandlung. Jedes Teil muss einzeln 

veredelt werden (Designveredelung). Der Aufwand ist 

daher enorm. Nach der Spezialbehandlung muss jedes 

Teil wieder gewaschen werden und das ganz schnell, 

denn sonst verdirbt das Jeansteil. Der erzielte Look 

nennt sich Vintage (getragene und gebrauchte Optik). 

Manchmal muss man den Vorgang auch wiederholen, 

um den gewünschten Effekt zu erreichen. 

Ich weiß, wovon ich rede. Ich habe alle Teile selbst 

behandelt, die Sie hier im Katalog sehen. Noch eine 

kleine Besonderheit: Jede Jeanshose hat auf jeder 

Innennaht der Hosenbeine 8 cm sichtbar verarbeitetes, 

brombeerfarbenes Samtband. Insgesamt sind in jeder 

Hose 32 cm Samtband sichtbar eingearbeitet. Wenn Sie 

die Hosen krempeln, sieht das sehr schön aus. Bei den 

Club Minis sind es 5 cm.

We start off washing them at high temperatures. 

Then we stone-wash them. After that they receive a 

very elaborate special treatment. Each item has to 

be distressed to achieve the desired vintage look, 

which is a major effort. After the treatment each 

piece of clothing has to be washed again immediately, 

otherwise the denim item will be spoilt. Sometimes the 

whole process has to be repeated to achieve the desired 

effect. I know what I’m talking about: I treated all 

the pieces you can see in this catalogue myself. There 

is another special detail: Each of the denim trousers 

feature 8 cm (3") of visibly sewn on blackberry 

coloured velvet ribbon on the inside of each trouser leg 

seam. In total each of the trousers feature 32 cm (12 

½") of this ribbon. It looks very pretty when you turn 

up the trouser legs. The Club Minis’ trousers feature 

5cm (2") of it.

und Eddies Gürtel werden hier in der Manufaktur 

handgemacht. 

Und jetzt erzähle ich Ihnen noch etwas ganz 

Besonderes. Die Club Minis haben ab 2007 ein 

winziges Oberarmgelenk, einen modellierten Körper 

Die neuen Club Minis haben unter anderem ein winziges Oberarmgelenk und mundgeblasene Glasaugen. 

The new Club Minis have amongst other new features a tiny upper arm joint as well as mouth-blown glass eyes. 

und einen beweglichen Kopf. Sie sind absolut 

identisch mit den großen Puppen. Sie haben natürlich 

keine Ellenbogen- und Kniegelenke. Das ist nicht 

umsetzbar. Und noch ein Highlight: Die Kleinen 

haben mundgeblasene Glasaugen, keine einfachen 

Puppen-Figurenaugen, wie das so oft verwechselt 

wird in der Puppenszene. Die Kleinen sind ca. 38 cm 

groß und sie sind einfach bezaubernd. Sehen Sie 

sich die Gesichter an. Sie sind genauso lebendig und 

ausdrucksstark wie die Großen. 

Ich musste die Kleinen einfach verändern, auch wenn 

die Gelenke ein Wahnsinn sind, denn jedes einzelne 

Gelenk muss aus den Formen gezogen werden. Und 

jedes Gelenk hat zusätzlich noch eine Gelenkscheibe, 

die ebenfalls geschleudert werden muss. Und wie es 

immer so ist: eine Veränderung zieht die andere nach 

sich. Ich musste einen Körper modellieren, damit 

das Gelenk und der bewegliche Kopf verwirklicht 

werden konnten und dann mussten natürlich auch die 

mundgeblasenen Glasaugen sein.

on Winni’s T-shirt are all hand-painted. Jolise’s leather 

belt and Eddie’s belt are also hand-made here in the 

manufactory. 

And now I’m going to tell you something really 

exciting. Starting with the 2007 collection, the Club 

Minis feature a tiny upper arm joint, a modelled vinyl 

body, and a moveable head. They are identical with 

their big counterparts. Of course they don’t have the 

elbow or knee joints. That wouldn’t be possible to put 

into practice. Another highlight is the mouth-blown 

glass eyes, not just simple doll-figure eyes, as it’s often 

misunderstood in the doll scene. The Minis are about 38 

cm / 15” tall and they are just adorable. Just look at their 

faces. They are just as lively and full of expression as the 

big dolls’ faces. 

I simply had an urge to change the little ones, even 

though making the joints is absolute madness, because 

each and every joint has to be pulled out of the moulds. 

And each joint in itself has a joint disk that also has to be 

centrifuged. And as these things always are: one change 

usually brings others with it. I had to model a body so 

the joints and the moveable head could be realised. And 

of course there had to be the mouth-blown glass eyes. 

Some of you may say: ‘Why didn’t she leave everything 

as it was. They used to be cheaper that way.’ Yes, of 

course I could have done that. But I would feel inhibited

aber ich würde dann in meiner Kreativität gehemmt und

würde ich mit den Club Minis stehen bleiben – das ist 

etwas, was ich nicht fertig bringe. Und auf die Dauer 

würde Ihnen das ganz sicher auch nicht gefallen. Und 

bedenken Sie, Sie bekommen für einen sehr niedrigen 

Preis ein vollwertiges Himstedt Kind. 

Nur die ständige Veränderung bringt mich in meiner 

Kreativität weiter. Nur so können Sie jedes Jahr wieder 

auf etwas Neues gespannt sein. 

Zum Abschluss möchte ich Ihnen noch etwas über die 

Formen erzählen. Ich tue das, um Ihnen den ganzen 

Umfang der Himstedt Kinder näher zu bringen. Nicht 

nur, dass ich die große Anzahl von Puppenteilen jedes 

Jahr modelliere, es sind auch jedes Jahr eine Unzahl 

von Formen nötig, um die Himstedt Kinder fertig zu 

stellen. Die Kollektion 2007 hat einschließlich der Club 

Minis und der Sommer Kinder ca. 460 Formen. Davon 

sind 90 Formen Mutterformen und 370 Arbeitsformen. 

Und diese nutze ich nur für die Kollektion 2007. Sie 

werden für keine nachfolgenden Kollektionen mehr 

verwendet. Von diesen 460 Formen sind übrigens 80 

Formen nur für die Club Minis: 11 Mutterformen und 69 

Arbeitsformen. 

Vielleicht verstehen Sie jetzt, dass ich diese Punkte 

immer wieder anspreche. Viele Dinge machen die 

Himstedt Kinder zu etwas ganz Besonderen und ich 

werde Ihnen immer wieder davon erzählen. 

Ich wünsche Ihnen eine schöne Zeit und viel Freude mit 

Ihren Himstedt Kindern.

in my creativity and while I keep moving on with my big 

dolls, I don’t want to stagnate with my Club Minis – that’s 

something I can’t let myself do. And in the long run I’m 

sure you wouldn’t appreciate this. And don’t forget that you 

get a proper Himstedt Kinder at a very low price. 

Only constant change allows me to develop my creativity. 

It’s the only way for you to keep being excited about what’s 

new to come in each new doll year. 

Finally I’d like to tell you about the moulds. I want to do 

this to give you a closer look at the whole extent of the 

making of the Himstedt Kinder. Not only do I model the 

large number of doll parts every year, every year a myriad 

of moulds are necessary to produce the Himstedt Kinder. 

The 2007 collection comprises about 460 different 

moulds, including the Club Minis and the Sommer Kinder. 

90 of those are mother moulds and 370 working moulds. 

They are all solely used for the 2007 collection. They will 

at no point in the future be used for any other collection. 

Of those 460 moulds 80 alone are used to make the Club 

Minis: 11 mother moulds and 69 working moulds. 

Maybe you’ll now understand why I keep making a point 

to bring these facts up. Many factors contribute to making 

the Himstedt Kinder something very special and I will 

continue to tell you about them.

werden. Verwenden Sie einfach nur klares 

Wasser und ein weiches Tuch. 

Wir behalten uns Abweichungen in Farben, 

Stoffen, Schuhen, Augen, Perücken und 

Wimpern vor. Bitte denken Sie daran, dass 

unsere Himstedt Kinder mit Sorgfalt und Liebe 

in Handarbeit hergestellt werden. Alles was

Care Tips 

Please do not subject your Himstedt Kinder to 

intense sunlight or spot lights as this is likely 

to bleach her hair, clothes and shoes and might 

also produce burns on the vinyl. Please also 

avoid exposing your doll to prolonged excessive 

heat. 

If you would like to clean your Himstedt 

Kinder, do not use alcohol, solvents or other 

cleaning agents. This could cause the colouring 

to smear or rub off altogether. Simply use clear 

water and a soft cloth. 

The colours, fabrics, shoes, eyes, wigs and 

eyelashes are subject to change. Please 

remember that every Himstedt Kinder has 

been hand-crafted with loving care and 

anything made by hand is unique – because 

man is not a machine.

Wir verteilen die Puppen in der Regel nach Bestelleingang, wobei Club Mitglieder 

bevorzugt berücksichtigt werden. 

Erst wenn wir Ihnen Ihre Anfrage schriftlich bestätigt haben, werden 20% des 

Kaufpreises als Anzahlung fällig. Hierfür wird die Zahlungsweise genutzt, die Sie uns

Wenn Ihr Himstedt Kind versandfertig ist, werden wir uns erneut mit Ihnen in

1. How do I order via the online shop? 

If you want to use our online shop, go to www.annettehimstedt. 

com. There you’ll find specific instructions as to how to order 

the Himstedt Kinder of your choice. It is very simple: You choose 

a Himstedt Kinder, put it in your shopping basket and proceed 

to check out, where you are asked to give your details like your 

name, address. Here you also choose between the two payment 

methods: credit card or bank transfer. Once you have placed your 

order with us we will shortly send you a reply stating whether this 

Himstedt Kinder is available. 

2. Where do I send the order form from the catalogue? 

If you choose to place your order using the order form that is 

enclosed with your catalogue, you can post it as a letter to the 

following address:

What happens after I’ve placed my order? 

When do I pay? 

No matter which route you choose to place your order with us, 

once you have placed it, we will shortly send you a reply stating 

whether this Himstedt Kinder is available. 

We generally allocate the dolls after we receive the orders. Please 

note that our Club members get preferential treatment. 

Only after your order has been confirmed by us and we have 

notified you in writing will we then take a 20% deposit using the 

payment details you have given us at the time of your order. 

Once your Himstedt Kinder is ready to ship we will contact you 

once more. At this point the rest of the payment will be due, using 

the same method as before. If you chose to pay by credit card, the 

outstanding amount will now be deducted from your card. If you 

chose bank transfer, you will be instructed to make a payment. 

As soon as your payment has cleared we will send your Himstedt 

Kinder on its way. 

Cancellation notice 

If you decide to cancel your order you can do so free of charge 

within 14 days of the order confirmation date. After the 14 day 

period your 20% deposit of the total amount will be retained as a 

cancellation fee.

Versand-Informationen 

Wir verschicken alle Puppen mit UPS. Bei jeder Sendung muss also bei 

Empfang eine Unterschrift geleistet werden. Bitte geben Sie uns daher eine 

Versandadresse an, bei der jemand anwesend ist, um die Sendung in Empfang 

zu nehmen (z. B. Arbeitsadresse, Nachbar, Freund). Bitte beachten Sie noch, dass 

wir nicht an Postfächer senden können.

Liefertermine 

Himstedt Kinder werden in liebevoller Handarbeit gefertigt. Für die Herstellung 

Ihres Himstedt Kindes brauchen wir Zeit und wir können nicht alle Himstedt 

Kinder Modelle auf einmal fertigen. Am Anfang des Produktionsjahres legen 

wir eine Reihenfolge fest, in der die Himstedt Kinder gefertigt werden. Diese 

Reihenfolge hängt davon ab, wann unsere Zulieferanten uns zum Beispiel 

Perücken oder Kleidung liefern können. Es kommt vor, dass abgesprochene 

Liefertermine aufgrund unvorhersehbarer Umstände umgestellt werden müssen. 

Daher können wir auf Nachfrage nur ungefähre, unverbindliche Aussagen zu 

Lieferterminen machen. 

In der Regel können wir die ersten Himstedt Kinder im April/Mai liefern. Wir 

arbeiten dann das ganze Jahr über für Sie und bemühen uns, Ihnen Ihr Himstedt 

Kind so schnell wie möglich zu schicken. Es kann aber sein, dass Sie Ihr im Januar 

bestelltes Himstedt Kind erst im Dezember geliefert bekommen. 

Auch wenn das eine lange Wartezeit ist, sind wir davon überzeugt, dass das 

Himstedt Kind Sie für das lange Warten entschädigen wird. 

Datenschutz 

Kunden, die Waren von Annette Himstedt kaufen, geben ihren Namen, 

Rechnungs- und Lieferadresse/n und unter Umständen eine gültige 

Kreditkartennummer an. 

Wir benutzen diese Informationen nur, um Ihre Bestellung abzuwickeln oder mit 

Ihnen bei Rückfragen zu Ihrer Bestellung in Kontakt zu treten. 

Wir geben nie Angaben über unsere Kunden an Dritte weiter, es sei denn, es ist 

notwendig, um Ihre Bestellung abzuwickeln oder aus anderen Gründen, denen 

Sie aber vorab zugestimmt haben. 

Reklamationen 

Sollte wider Erwarten etwas mit Ihrem Himstedt Kind nicht in Ordnung sein oder 

es einen Transportschaden erlitten haben, möchten wir Sie bitten, uns dies 

unverzüglich schriftlich mitzuteilen (am besten per Email). 

Bitte beachten Sie, dass jedes Himstedt Kind in liebevoller Handarbeit gefertigt 

wird und dadurch einzigartig ist. Kein Himstedt Kind ist wie das andere. Jede 

Puppe ist etwas ganz Besonderes und hat ihren eigenen, individuellen Charme.

All dolls are shipped using UPS and a signature is required with 

each shipment. Please provide us with a delivery address where 

someone will be present to accept the delivery (e.g. work address, 

neighbour, friend). Please note we cannot send to a PO Box.

Delivery dates 

Himstedt Kinder are created with loving care and craftsmanship. 

We need time to make your Himstedt Kinder and obviously we’re 

unable to make all Himstedt Kinder models at one time. At the 

beginning of each production year we determine an order in which 

we will make the Himstedt Kinder. This order is dependent on a 

number of factors, e.g. at which point our suppliers can send us 

wigs or clothes. Confirmed delivery times from our suppliers can 

also change due to unforeseen circumstances. This is why we can 

only give you approximate and non-binding delivery dates upon 

your requests. 

Generally we’re able to ship the first Himstedt Kinder of each 

collection in April/May of each year. We continue to work for you 

throughout the year and are trying very hard to send you your 

Himstedt Kinder as soon as we possibly can. But it can happen that 

you will only get the Himstedt Kinder that you ordered in January, in 

December of the same year. 

Even though this is a long time to wait, we’re sure that your 

Himstedt Kinder will make up for it in the end. 

Privacy Policy 

Users purchasing items from Annette Himstedt provide their Name, 

Billing/Shipping Address, and a Valid Credit Card Number. 

We use the information to process your order and to communicate 

with you regarding your order. 

We will never sell or share your personal information with third 

parties unless it is required to fulfill your order or to fulfill another 

function, which you have consented to. 

Returns 

Should something, despite our careful quality control, be not quite 

right with your Himstedt Kinder or should it have suffered transport 

damage, we ask you to let us know in writing without delay 

(preferably via email). 

Please note that because each Himstedt Kinder is made by hand 

it is unique and no one Himstedt Kinder is like another. Each doll is 

something very special and has its own individual charm.
