High performance aluminium pigments for <strong>powder</strong> coatings<br />
Hochleistungs-<strong>Aluminium</strong>pigmente für die Pulverlackapplikation<br />
<strong>PCS</strong> represents a new generation of high performance aluminium<br />
pigments which have been specifi cally designed for application in<br />
<strong>powder</strong> coatings.<br />
<strong>PCS</strong> pigments are completely encapsulated with a very stable<br />
surface coating. <strong>Aluminium</strong> pigments of extremely high purity are<br />
coated with nanocrystalline silicon dioxide units in a special solgel<br />
process.<br />
The decisive advantages of <strong>PCS</strong> are:<br />
· excellent chemical resistance<br />
· good rub resistance in single layer <strong>powder</strong> coating<br />
applications<br />
· good pigment wetting<br />
· pronounced non-leafi ng properties<br />
· good shear stability – therefore very suitable for processing in<br />
the bonding technique<br />

· good electrical charging<br />
· easy processing with Corona and Tribo techniques<br />
The typical pigmentation rate of <strong>PCS</strong> aluminium pigments varies<br />
between 0.5 and 5.0 %<br />
The <strong>PCS</strong> pigment range includes 5 pigment grades which enables<br />
the formulation of all kinds of optical effects, from crystalline<br />
sparkling to silky gloss.<br />

<strong>PCS</strong> steht für eine neue Produktgeneration von Hochleistungs-<br />
<strong>Aluminium</strong>pigmenten, die speziell für die Anwendung in Pulverlacken<br />
entwickelt wurde.<br />
Das Besondere an den <strong>PCS</strong>-Pigmenten ist ihre vollständige und<br />
äusserst stabile Oberfl ächenbeschichtung, bei der Pigmente aus<br />
hochreinem <strong>Aluminium</strong> in einem speziellen Sol-Gel-Verfahren mit<br />
nanokristallinen Siliziumdioxideinheiten eingekapselt werden.<br />
Die entscheidenden Vorteile von <strong>PCS</strong>-Pigmenten sind:<br />
· hervorragende Chemikalienbeständigkeit<br />
· gute Abriebbeständigkeit in einschichtigen Pulverlackapplikationen<br />
· gute Pigmentbenetzung<br />
· ausgeprägte non-leafi ng Eigenschaften<br />

die Verarbeitung im Bondingverfahren<br />

Die typische Pigmentierungshöhe von <strong>PCS</strong>-<strong>Aluminium</strong>-Pigmenten<br />
beträgt 0,5 – 5,0 %.<br />
Das <strong>PCS</strong>-Pigmentprogramm umfasst 5 Pigmenttypen mit denen<br />
sich sämtliche optische Effekte von kristallin-glitzernd bis seidenmatt<br />
problemlos darstellen lassen.<br />
