The SP555 V is our new flagship 4 wheel walk behind lawnmower,<br />
packed with features and innovations that help to make it the ultimate<br />
walk behind lawnmower.<br />
The 190cc Honda engine provides plenty of power to deal with the<br />
toughest of conditions and a heavy duty cone clutch transmission has<br />
infinitely variable forward speeds between 3 - 4.4km/h allowing you to<br />
cut at a pace that suits you and the conditions.<br />
The chassis is a unique Hybrid design with a galvanised and powder<br />
coated deep drawn pressed steel cutting chamber with a J section lip<br />
inspired by <strong>Mountfield</strong>’s robust ride on mower decks, and the rigidity of<br />
a cast aluminium conveyor at the rear of the machine incorporating the<br />
lower handlebar mountings. The conveyor is the perfect shape to maximise<br />
air flow which is further enhanced by fins moulded into the anti-scalp plate<br />
at the front of the mower.<br />
The first cutting edge of the patented Twinclip blade reduces the initial<br />
length of the grass with the second cutting edge reducing the finished<br />
length down to the desired height (see page 32 for more info). The extra<br />
finely cut clippings are then blown into the 70 litre collector, resulting in a<br />
noticeable increase in collecting performance of around 20%. Alternatively<br />
if you fit the included mulching plug the Twinclip blade produces a mulching<br />
finish that is second to none.<br />
The height of cut is easily adjusted using a single lever to select one of the<br />
7 cutting height positions between 25-77mm.<br />
Cleaning after use is facilitated using a hose connection fitted to the chassis.<br />
The robust handle bars are easily adjusted to a choice of 3 positions with<br />
a simple one motion click and fold over the engine for ease of storage.<br />
