S501R PD<br />
The S501R PD is one of our new range of premium roller<br />
mowers. These top of the range roller mowers have many<br />
innovative features, all designed to deliver a truly superb cut<br />
and finish with maximum efficiency and comfort for the user.<br />
Powered by a 160cc <strong>Mountfield</strong> ST55 OHV engine, the heavy<br />
duty high torque cone clutch transmission provides drive to<br />
the 127mm diameter full width steel rear roller that ensures a<br />
superb striped finish.<br />
The generous 48cm cutting width deck is made of deep drawn<br />
pressed steel with a J section lip to maximise rigidity. The steel<br />
is galvanised and powder coated to ensure longevity. The<br />
unique hybrid chassis design incorporates a cast aluminium<br />
conveyor at the rear. The conveyor is designed in conjunction<br />
with the fins incorporated in the anti-scalp plate to maximise<br />
airflow into the large 75 litre collector and delivers outstanding<br />
collection performance.<br />
The <strong>Mountfield</strong> SP501R PD is fitted with our patented Twinclip<br />
blade with four cutting edges instead of two - the first cutting<br />
edge reduces the initial length of the grass with the second<br />
cutting edge reducing the finished length down to the desired<br />
height. The extra finely cut clippings mean that collector<br />
capacity is effectively increased by around 20%. The cutting<br />
height is easily adjusted using the well balanced single lever to<br />
a choice of 8 positions in the 13 – 65mm range.<br />
The handle bars are easily adjusted with a one motion click<br />
to a range of 3 postions and can fold the all the way over the<br />
engine reducing the amount of valuable space required for<br />
storage in your garden shed or garage. Cleaning after use is<br />
facilitated using a hose connection fitted to the chassis.<br />
This is a superb roller mower, delivering outstanding<br />
