Instrotech has signed-up new agency, SCANCON, leading Danish<br />
manufacturer of incremental and absolute encoders. Founded in<br />
1973, the company offers a full range of industrial encoders, including<br />
EX-Proof encoders. Rep<strong>res</strong>ented throughout Europe, China, parts of<br />
Asia, North & South America, and with Instrotech, SCANCON now has a<br />
p<strong>res</strong>ence in the African market.<br />

ratings up to IP69K.<br />
• ATEX Zone 2 for drilling and wire-line operations in the oil and gas<br />
industries. With a shaft that is mechanically fixed in place and an<br />
unbreakable metal or plastic disk, the 2QEX is built to withstand<br />
shocks and vibration associated with oil rig operations. It carries an<br />
environmental rating of IP67.<br />
• Industrial encoders for oil and gas fields and mining applications -<br />
have been specifically designed to withstand harsh environments.<br />

• The world’s smallest EX-Proof encoders for rig control and commercial<br />

• Transient Supp<strong>res</strong>sion Module (TSM) for environments where severe<br />
electrical transient and disturbances occur. The module protects the<br />
encoder electronics from power-overload malfunctions via the cable.<br />
