Elizabeth Lorenzin
Community Support
While pursuing a PhD at the University
of Toronto, she collaborated with Dr.
Sandra Burt in the publication of aking
the Women's Movement to Queen's
Park: Women's Issues and the New
Democratic Government of Ontario"
(1995). Elizabeth has never relented
in her quest for a fair and just society
– particularly for women.
Elizabeth is proud to call herself a feminist and works tirelessly
to promote women in business. She is Chair of a local
GroYourBiz chapter and holds leadership positions in women in
business committees in her local Chamber of Commerce.
Elizabeth has been practicing in the fields of public opinion and
market research for over 20 years. Elizabeth owns her own
market research firm and has also held senior positions in
international firms in Toronto.
Her engagements have taken her across Canada and the
United States, conducting focus groups, one-on-one personal
in-depth interviews and UX (User Experience) design research.
Elizabeth is passionate about understanding people’s
perceptions, opinions and beliefs – whether in politics, the notfor-profit
sector or the business world.
Evelyn Leslie
Community Support
Moving to Canada in 1986 was the
right decision I made. At the age of
23 arriving in Canada I worked 2
Full Time jobs to get on my feet.
Throughout my journey I am truly
blessed to have made lots of
Fabulous Friends, and making many
lifetime sisterhood bonds.
In the Mid 90’s I was raising two boys, owning and running a
Restaurant in Leslieville and a Café at Harbourfront. It had it’s
challenges for sure, but I managed to survive those early years.
Now my boys are living on own their own and for me now it’s
Freedom over Fabulous 40!!
I am extremely grateful for all the wonderful people in my life. I
take great pride in making a difference the community and
giving back. I have a lot of fun volunteering for festivals,
fundraisers, special events and meeting lots of wonderful
people. For those who know me, know that I thrive on helping
others and putting a smile on people’s faces.
Ermi Riz
Health & Wellness
Ermi Riz, married, have two beautiful
daughters between the age of 14 and 9
with developmental delay and seizures
disorder. Her husband works full time as
an accountant.
Ermii has a Masters degree in
Economics and worked full time but
after her first daughter was born
needing medical attention she opted for another career in
Advanced Aesthetics and advance Makeup Artistry for more
freedom to balance family life, follow her passion and dreams.
Erum makes sure that she prioritizes her children’s needs
over her career and she loves to be around them to provide a
quality of life.
To see happy clients makes her feel proud and grateful to
God. Through her hard work, she overcame and met
challenges without her own family here. Her husband is the
only support and the respite workers. Erum absolutely loves
the world of makeup and how diverse it has become.
It is her wish to mentor young generation to continue the art
professionally to transform into lovely personalities and
blossom into the beautiful world.
