Environment & Nature
I was the child who brought everyone
home. A magnet for neighbourhood
stray cats, abandoned baby skunks, the
injured fox, the dog in need of a home
and then I grew up and discovered
rescue. My passion and advocacy for
homeless animals, especially dogs has
been my battle and cause for over
twenty years.
My journey began with a breed specific rescue and soon grew
to saving everyone from the littlest of Chihuahuas to the
Greatest of Danes. I am President and co-founder of The Dog
Rescuers Inc., our work is volunteer but the reward is
priceless! I am blessed to work with a wonderful team, all
committed and dedicated to saving these precious lives. We
save the dogs that people have cast aside, no longer want,
we love them and work hard to find the perfect family to call
their own. I have seen the horrors of what man can do, cried
tears for the precious lives who we could not save, their abuse
beyond repair. I have cried tears of joy and happiness when
the laws have served justice for these brave souls or we have
placed a sweet loving dog into the arms of a family over the
moon with excitement. The battle for homeless pets is my
passion and I am proud and honoured to make a difference in
their lives.
