Rotzellen History

The information on the Rotzoll - Remus connection I found in an article about the family history of
the Rotzoll in Rotzollen. This article was published by A. Treichel in the magazine of the
Historische Vereinigung von Marienwerder in 1889, Vol. 24, pages 21-26.
This article had as well the information that Franz Remus was the owner of a Schulzengut in
Stegers, before he became a leaseholder of the domain in Stretzin.
Anna Margarethe Rotzoll sold the estate of Rotzollen in 1819, but hergrandson bought it back in
1828 and sold it in 1853 to Neubauer. Sinceshe died in 1823, the place of death (that was not
mentioned) may be Lottin.
