to stimulate cultural engagement and enhance greater<br />

understanding between the two regions. It is a platform to<br />

inform, collaborate, interact and exchange ideas amongst<br />

the arts and cultural communities across <strong>Asia</strong> and <strong>Europe</strong>.<br />

Fuelled by the artistic communities of the two regions, it is the<br />

culmination of efforts from the governmental level as well as<br />

from civil society.<br />

This website is dedicated to the <strong>Asia</strong>-<strong>Europe</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong>’s<br />

Dialogue of Cultures and Civilisations programme which was<br />

established to address contentious and sensitive cultural<br />

and inter-civilisational issues. This website serves as a<br />

platform for information-sharing on the various projects<br />

within this programme.<br />

CulturE-ASEF aims to support cultural exchange between<br />

<strong>Asia</strong> and <strong>Europe</strong> by guiding interested parties to systematic<br />

directories of annotated links of websites with information in<br />

the field of visual arts in <strong>Asia</strong> and <strong>Europe</strong>. The concept of the<br />

CulturE-ASEF website was developed by the editors of Universes<br />

in Universe and brought to ASEF Cultural Exchange.<br />

The Database on Education Exchange Programme (DEEP) is<br />

ASEM’s comprehensive online portal on universities, student<br />

exchanges and scholarships in <strong>Asia</strong> and <strong>Europe</strong>.<br />

DEEP allows users to:<br />

• select from an ever-expanding list of universities from the<br />

ASEM countries, organised by country and by field of study;<br />

• locate scholarships and exchange programmes available<br />

form the user’s country of origin and the preferred country<br />

of destination;<br />

• identify official agencies assisting foreign students;<br />

• obtain a snapshot of <strong>Asia</strong>n and <strong>Europe</strong>an education<br />

systems, entry requirements and credit recognition<br />

procedures; and<br />

• exchange experiences of studying in <strong>Asia</strong> and <strong>Europe</strong>.<br />

The ESiA website is a fully interactive website for <strong>Europe</strong>an<br />

studies academics, institutions and network to share and<br />

collaborate. This unique online platform is a resource of<br />

information, debate and research on <strong>Europe</strong>an studies in<br />

<strong>Asia</strong> and <strong>Europe</strong>. It contains papers, articles, conference<br />

and publication announcements, vacancies and an extensive<br />

database of leading <strong>Europe</strong>an studies institutions and networks<br />

in the two regions.<br />

The eMonitor is the quarterly electronic newsletter of the<br />

ESiA network with a readership of 8,000 in <strong>Asia</strong>, <strong>Europe</strong> and<br />

internationally.<br />

The Synergy <strong>Europe</strong>-<strong>Asia</strong> website (SEA-Images) is for the<br />

promotion of film exchange between <strong>Asia</strong> and <strong>Europe</strong>. Since its<br />

launch in January 2004, SEA-Images aims to provide a unique<br />

pool of information on <strong>Asia</strong>n film industry and its independent<br />

sector, classified data on the diverse <strong>Europe</strong>an film industry<br />

and useful information for independent film makers from <strong>Asia</strong><br />

and <strong>Europe</strong>. The Sea-Images eNewsletter includes news, call<br />

for entries and relevant articles.<br />
