Research Title:
Product Design in Sudan
Concepts, Constraints, and Opportunities
The research tries best to formulate a conceptual framework
, through which product design practices in Sudan can
be studied and analyzed. Different perspectives and views
of those who are involved in such practices were generated
and statistically being analyzed, to point out constraints and
look for opportunities for development.

Design as a Developmental Necessity
Industrial Design from a Perspective of
Underdevelopment-
Towards Successful Education and Practice in Sudan
The paper questions the need for design in under-developed
countries, particularly in Sudan. It emphasizes the essential
qualities of design that help the world unprivileged people
live a better life. The paper therefore, advocates an
inclusive approach to development within which design can
be effectively incorporated. It also lays out a conceptual
framework for a developmental approach to successful
design flexible enough to be carried out by different
countries.
