TOL 404 1043 and TOL 404 1041 GASLMLTV, 20-ton RA
Rock-armored cables for submarine applications
where the cable is exposed to severe mechanical
wear and tear. These could include installation
directly on rock or shore landings where the cable
is subject to forces such as waves or tides. The
three layers of steel wire reinforcement provide
heavy-duty mechanical protection, enabling
TOL 404 1002 and TOL 404 1042 GASLMLTV, 40-ton DAH
Double-armored, heavy 4- and 8-fiber ribbon
cables where extra-high protection is required in
submarine applications. For example, landings,
where no additional protection, such as articulated
pipes, is available. It has a similar design to
the GASLMLTV, 5-ton. The maximum NTTS is
400 kN.
NCD 601 0014 Submarine Joint Closures
Closure made of heavy-duty stainless steel and
hermetically-sealed cable joints for GJMLTV
(FIMT) fiber optic submarine cables. The joint can
host up to 48 fibres.
NCD 601 0008 and NCD 601 0010 Submarine Joint Closures
Closures made of heavy-duty stainless steel
and hermetically-sealed cable joints for the
GASLMLTV single or double-armored fiber optic
submarine cables. The joint can host up to 96 or
192 fibers depending on type.
NCD 601+ Universal Joint for Submarine Joint Closures
Universal Joint is a technology developed by the
Universal Joint Consortium to facilitate efficient
maintenance of installed submarine cable systems.
Many of Ericsson’s submarine cables are
qualified for this technology and for some cable
types this joint type is used in installation projects
of new systems.
installation during rough conditions and reliable
operation in severe conditions.
Design: Slotted core ribbon, triple armor
Type: 20 ton, ≤500m
Capacity: 4-96 fibers (4-f ribbon)
8-192 fibers (8-f ribbon)
Design: Slotted core ribbon, double armor
Type: 40 ton, ≤500m
Capacity: 4-96 fibers (4-f ribbon)
8-192 fibers (8-f ribbon)
Design: Straight joint for GJMLTV
Capacity: 1-48 fibers
Design: Straight joint for GASLMLTV
Capacity: 4-96 or 4-192 fibers
Design: Design: UJ for 10-, 25-,
40 ton submarine cables
Local Site Cabling
Cables for Indoor Installation
The range of indoor installation cables is recommended for use in telecommunication
stations for interconnection between the optical line interface and the optical distribution
frames. The indoor cables are also suitable for use in LAN networks or other types
of data networks. All indoor cables are halogen-free and flame-retardant, and consequently
generate no corrosive gases during combustion. All cables are also completely
dielectric. The fibers in the cable can be of different types and different fiber types can
be mixed in the same cable.
TOL 405 3001/1 GNGQBDU, 1-Fiber
Simplex, buffered patch cord cable, non-jelly filled
with an outer diameter of 2.0mm as standard. It
can be delivered pre-terminated with a variety of
connector types. The cable has low shrinkage of
less than 0.5% for reliable high performance.
TOL 405 3001/2 GNGQBDU, 2-fiber
Two-fiber, tight-buffered duplex patch cord cable,
non-jelly filled and aramid reinforced. The cable
has a figure-8 design with single fibers laid in
parallel, which makes it easy to split into two
simplex patch cables.
TOL 405 3006 GNGQQBDU, 2-fiber
Two fiber, tight-buffered duplex patch cord cable,
non-jelly filled and aramid reinforced. Two single
fiber cables are enclosed in an outer sheath
forming a flexible and dry cable with an outer
dimension of 4.8x2.8mm. It can be delivered preterminated
with a variety of connector types.
TOL 405 3013 GNHQBDUV
Distribution cable suitable for longer distances
and humid areas. A concentric core design make
this tight-buffered fiber cable cost-effective and
slim. Tape is used instead of jelly as longitudinal
water blocking, making the jointing procedure
clean and easy.
Design: Tight-buffered
Type: Halogen-free, flame-retardant,
IEC60332-3 cat C (LSZH), UL 1666 (CMR/Riser)
Capacity: 1 fiber
Design: Tight-buffered
Type: Halogen-free, flame-retardant,
IEC60332-3 cat C (LSZH), UL 1666 (CMR/Riser)
Capacity: 2 fiber
Design: Tight-buffered, break-out
Type: Halogen-free, flame-retardant,
IEC60332-3 cat C (LSZH), UL 1666 (CMR/Riser)
Capacity: 2 fiber
Design: Concentric core, Tight-buffered
Type: Halogen-free, flame-retardant
Capacity: 2-12 fiber
