Practical Information<br />

<strong>Conference</strong> Venue: Coral Beach Hotel & Resort • Address: Poseidonos Avenue, Peyia, 8042 Paphos • Telephone: (+357) 26881000<br />

Registration: Registration of delegates will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of October <strong>2012</strong> at the Registration area, located at the hotel’s foyer right outside AKAMAS conference rooms.<br />

<strong>Conference</strong> Badges: Delegates are advised to wear their conference badge at all times during the conference, including social events.<br />

PC Stations: PCs are available to use by conference delegates at three selected stations within the conference venue. Stations are located in the three hotel levels (restaurant level, ground<br />

flood and mezzanine level) respectively. For the exact location of the PC Stations, please consult the Hotel Map found in the conference <strong>Programme</strong>.<br />

Internet Access: Free WiFi Access is provided to all delegates within the area of the conference venue. Just connect to the “Coral Beach Hotel” Wireless Internet Connection.<br />

No password is required.<br />

<strong>Conference</strong> Messaging System: Communication among conference delegates, either for business or for arranging to meet for a cup of coffee, is made easily available through the<br />

<strong>Conference</strong> Website. Using your laptop, mobile phone or one of the PCs located in the PC Stations of the conference, you can login into the <strong>Conference</strong> Website (www.cypruseen<strong>2012</strong>.eu) with<br />

the credentials received at the time of registration. Then click on “Participants Corner” on your left menu, select the participant you want to meet and choose between sending him/her an<br />

email or an sms.<br />

This service is provided free of charge to all conference delegates and helps in minimizing telephone roaming costs.<br />

Important: Please note that if you receive an sms or email through the <strong>Conference</strong> Messaging System, you will have to use the Website in order to reply!<br />

National & Project Meetings: You will find time slots and the location of national and project meetings in your conference bag.<br />

Minimization of Paper Use: During this year’s conference, a significant effort has been made to minimize the use of paper through the utilization of technology. For this reason, brochures<br />

and leaflets have been replaced by QR Codes, which have been generated for each exhibitor, so that relevant information and contact details can be retrieved through Internet sources.<br />

A “scan” Smartphone application is required in order to acquire information through QR Codes.<br />

Bus Schedules: In your conference bag, you may find a table with bus schedules for transportation from/to the selected hotels to the conference venue and social events.<br />

Transportation is offered for free to all conference delegates.<br />

Tourist Information Guides: Tourist information guides for Cyprus area will be available at the Information Desk next to the Registration area.<br />

<strong>Network</strong>ing Coffee Breaks: Coffee will be served at all times near the Registration Area of the conference. If weather is nice, a coffee station will be available at the hotel’s terrace on the<br />

Ground Floor.<br />

Lunch Breaks: During conference lunch breaks, meals will be served at the “Armonia” Restaurant at the Restaurant Floor of the Coral Beach Hotel & Resort. If weather is nice, lunch areas will<br />

be extended to the hotel’s terrace at the Restaurant floor to enjoy the view of the beautiful scenery.

Venue: The Welcome Cocktail will take place at the beautiful “Limani Taverna” of the Coral Beach Hotel & Resort.<br />

“Kiniras” Dinner<br />

<strong>Conference</strong> participants are invited to join a networking dinner (“Kiniras Dinner”) featuring Cypriot traditional dishes and traditional entertainment programme. For entry to Dinner venue,<br />

delegates are required to have their badges.<br />

Venue: Dinner will take place at Paphos Medieval Castle Square, Kato Paphos, having as natural scenery the area’s key landmark and ancient monument.<br />

Dinner Time: 20:00<br />

Bus Transfer to the Dinner Venue: Transfer to the Dinner venue will be available to conference participants with shuttle buses leaving from the conference selected hotels and backwards.<br />

All buses transferring participants to the Dinner venue, will leave from the selected hotels at 19:00. For more information on bus transportation, please consult the bus schedule tables.<br />

Dress Code: Smart Casual<br />

Visit to the Paphos Medieval Castle: Before and after the Dinner, conference participants may take a short tour to the inside of the Castle free of charge.<br />

<strong>Conference</strong> Support Staff: If you still have any questions about practical and other issues, the Organisers and <strong>Conference</strong> Support Staff will be happy to assist you!<br />

The <strong>Conference</strong> Support Staff may be found circulating around during the conference and social events wearing green shirts.<br />
