“Local and Regional Authorities are vital to the democratic life of the European
Union and are key actors in the conception and implementation of common
European policies, including the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. Therefore, the
City of Galati is actively engaged in dialogue with its citizens and continuously
seeks to identify and promote concrete initiatives and projects for generating jobs
and economic growth.
The Public Debate aims to bringing the Strategy closer to the citizens and their
needs by cultivating a closer cooperation between representatives of central and
local authorities, the business environment and NGOs, in synergy with the activity
of academic networks, at national and international levels. By establishing an
Advisory Board at local level, we do believe that we will be able to guarantee that
