These tests are carried out according to EN61000-4-2, with test levels as given<br />
in Table 1 <strong>of</strong> this standard. <strong>Co</strong>ntact discharge is the preferred test method.<br />
Twenty discharges (10 with positive and 10 with negative polarity) shall be<br />
applied on each accessible metallic part o the enclosure, terminals are excluded.<br />
Air discharges shall be used where contact discharges cannot be applied.<br />
Discharges shall be applied on the horizontal or vertical or vertical coupling<br />
planes as sp<strong>ec</strong>ified in IEC 1000-4-2.<br />
NOTE “accessible” means accessible under normal operating operating conditions<br />
including user maintenance.<br />
