Foremost is our initiative to get more information to you better and for you to learn more about us.
One of the uniqueness of Saint Teresa Leadership and Service Institute for Women (STLI) is that its graduates are
welcomed into the folds of the Alumnae Association of the College of Saint Teresa. STLI graduates are the continuing
legacy of the College of Saint Teresa, strong women who will move forward to take their place in family,
corporation and community who demonstrate confidence in themselves and commitment to bettering the world in
which we live. If you have an upcoming alumni gathering and would
like a short program on the STLI-CST Connection, we’d love come
and present it! You can coordinate this with Colleen or call Peg directly.

Three STLI Graduates
Mary Glenski, Maria Pechacek and Amy Streit were honored at
this year’s year-end Ceremony. Recognized as a Member in Good
Standing, Mary Glenski joined STLI in 2009. She played a critical
logistical support role in the first Amuzing Race, orchestrated the
2010 Women’s Film Festival and assisted with the marketing of STLI
activities in 2012. Mary, an International Business and Marketing major
from Rochester, has received a prestigious scholarship from the
U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs
to study the Punjabi language in India this summer.
Maria Pechacek graduates from Saint Mary’s this year with a major
in biology and as a STLI Member in Good Standing. Maria served as
the STLI Student Association President in 2011, 2010 Year-End
Ceremony Planning Committee Chair, Project Compass Dance
Co-Coordinator in 2012 and a lead Real Me! Facilitator since 2010.
Maria’s next step is continuing her education at the Medical College
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she is pursuing a Masters of Public
Education.
Amy Streit is the first STLI member achieving STLI Member with
Honors status. Fully committed to ensuring that STLI opportunities
were available to all women undergraduates, Amy promoted STLI
activities in

her residence hall, on Facebook and by personal
invitation. Amy served in multiple leadership positions
while an STLI member including Project Compass Dance
Coordinator in 2009 and 2010, Year-End Ceremony Chair
in 2011, 2012 Women’s Retreat Planning Team Member
and Vice President of the STLI Student Association in
2011 and President in 2012. Amy also organized the 2011
STLI Open House, served as a Real Me! facilitator and
gave numerous service hours assisting the STLI Director
with inventory. This summer Amy will be volunteering
with Mercy Volunteer Corps in Sacramento, CA.
