Lost Property
As usual towards the end of term, there is
a significant amount of items in the
Senior School lost property that is
un-named or where the name is illegible.
If your child has lost any items, they
should come and check our supply in the
Senior School Office. Parents are also
welcome to come and search.
All unclaimed property will be removed at
the start of the holiday break next Friday
21 September at 4.00pm.
Work Experience 2013
Students in Years 10-11 who are interested
in participating in Work Experience in 2013
are able to collect an application form
from the Senior School Office. We
encourage students to consider Work
Experience to complement their senior
studies and career explorations. It assists
students to make worthwhile career
decisions regarding occupational selection
and post-secondary education and training
options. Furthermore, work experience
exposes students to the workings of an
organisation and effective personal
management. Work Experience placements
can be quite difficult to arrange and are
highly sought after by schools in the local
area. Students who wish to have a Work
Experience placement in a popular or hard
to place industry should endeavour to
return their forms to the Senior School
Office by the end of this term. Should you

Year 12 Formal

Additional Tickets Available
There are extra tickets available for the
Year 12 Formal. They may be purchased
from the Business Office for $20.00 per
person until sold out or by 21 September.

questions regarding ticketing for the
formal.

� 5.00pm–5.30pm in the main entrance
and foyer of the Sebel & Citigate, King
George Square, Brisbane
Pre-Formal Function
� 5.30pm–6.30pm in the function area of
the Sebel & Citigate, King George
Square.
� Departure: Parents will depart at 6.30pm
and students will continue to have
photographs until 7.15pm.
Year 12 Formal
� Venue: The Sebel & Citigate Hotel
� Time: 7.20pm–11.20pm
Official Opening &
Dedication of JG Block
All Redeemer parents are invited to attend
the Official Opening and Dedication of
JG Block next Thursday at 11.15am in the
Multi-Purpose Centre Auditorium.
To ensure that we have enough seats for
all of our visitors, it would be greatly
appreciated if all those attending could
indicate their attendance to:

Parents should also be aware that a
number of car parking spaces will also be
reserved for our VIP guests in the Junior
School car parking, following drop off next
Thursday morning.
Christian Dance
Prep and Year 1 Parents of the Term 3
Christian Dance group are participating in
the Junior School Chapel service on
Wednesday 19 September. All dancers of
this group and parent helpers are
requested to meet Mrs Stock at the front
of the Chapel at 8.00am on this
Wednesday with their necessary costume
items. Junior School Parents are
encouraged to join us for this service.

If your child will not be returning to
Redeemer in 2013, please make sure that
you let the Enrolments Office know in
writing by no later than Monday
8 October 2012 to avoid being charged a
term's fees in lieu of notice.

Year 11/2013 Scholarships
Applications close next Friday!
Redeemer Lutheran College is offering up
to four scholarships for Year 11 students in
2013.
� Academic Scholarships: Two of these
available for academically gifted students
on the basis of reports and assessment.
� Cultural Scholarship: One of these
available to a student able to contribute
to the college’s cultural program in areas
like music, drama, public speaking.
� All Rounder Scholarship: One of these
available to a student able to contribute
to at least two major areas of college life.

The Rowley Trophy for
Rugby XV Best and Fairest
The Rowley Trophy for Rugby is a
perpetual trophy awarded
annually to the Best and Fairest
player in the First XV team.
The winner of this trophy for
2012 is Kristian Ferreira (Year 12).
The Logan Trophy for
Service to Hockey
The Logan Trophy for Service to
Hockey is awarded annually to a
Firsts team member who has
demonstrated leadership on and
off the field, assistance, service,
shown commitment and overall
achievement as a Hockey player. The 2012
recipient is Jacqueline Wood (Year 12).
The Redeemer Trophy
for Netball
The 2012 recipient of the
Redeemer Trophy for Netball is
Sydney Cock (Year 12). Sydney has
demonstrated mature leadership
and a strong dedication to Netball.
As overall Netball Captain, Sydney has
shown leadership qualities through
continually encouraging, supporting and
motivating students in all year levels. She
has been an excellent role model on and
off the court.
