2008-2009 HONOR ROLL OF DONORS - Ursuline Academy

Dear Ursuline Community,
As we take a last look back to the 2008-2009 school year, we are fi lled with
gratitude for the many people whose love for Ursuline sustains the school in a
very real way. At no time are we more amazed at how far-reaching the Ursuline
community is than when we prepare this Honor Roll of Donors. When we
see the long lists of alumnae, parents, friends and volunteers, we are once again
reminded that Ursuline connections reach through the years and around the world.
One of the acknowledgments you’ll see in this issue is to those who made gifts
or pledges to the Lions’ Pride Campaign—Phase II of our capital campaign—
during the past school year. This $3 million campaign supports our new Athletic
& Wellness Center and other campus improvements, and despite challenging
economic conditions, is just almost halfway towards the goal. Any visitor to
Ursuline can quickly see that our campus improvement plan has resulted in
a beautiful facility. But beyond beauty, the changes have been practical, well
reasoned, and technologically advanced. The students of Ursuline are well-served
by these advances. Fundraising for Phase II is ongoing. I invite your participation.
Again, our most profound thanks to all those who support
Ursuline in hundreds of ways: through prayer, volunteerism
and fi nancial contributions. Thanks to them, the Ursuline
tradition is as strong as it’s ever been.
