Prophet (pbuh) was taunted and called ‘abtar’ after the death of<br />
his son in infancy.<br />
The sura revealed in response to the taunts and comes from the<br />
word ‘kathara’ which means plenty.<br />
Tradition description of Kawthar is that of a spring in Heaven. It<br />
also means abundance of descendants.<br />
