9.9. Sleep Timer Operation<br />
• Sleep timer setting with the remote controller makes the unit automatically turn off on the off-set times (0.5, 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7<br />
hours). Remained time shows every one hour on a display of the remote controller. Remained time disappears when time is up.<br />
• In 5- and 7-hour sleep timer settings, “Sleep Shift Control" functions in and after 3 hours.<br />
• Sleep Shift Control in Cooling Operation<br />
− − Indoor fan speed is set to "Lo". (Refer to the “Indoor Fan Control” chapter for each model.)<br />
− − A setting temperature is increased by 1°C.<br />
• Sleep Shift Control in Dry Operation<br />
− − − Indoor fan speed is set to "SLo". (Refer to the “Indoor Fan Control” chapter for each model.)<br />
− − A setting temperature is increased by 1°C.<br />
• Sleep Shift Control in Heating Operation<br />

9.10. Timer Operation<br />
On Timer<br />
• • According to air-conditioning load, preliminary operation<br />
is performed to be a set temperature on set time.<br />
Preliminary operation time is as shown in the table on<br />
the right.<br />
• • Indoor and outdoor fans operate for 30 seconds in 70<br />
minutes before a set time, and outdoor and intake air<br />
temperatures are detected.<br />
• • <strong>Air</strong>flow direction in preliminary operation is followed by<br />
remote controller setting. (Same condition as in normal<br />
operation.) Fan speed in preliminary operation is as<br />
shown in the table on the right.<br />
• • In preliminary operation, deicing judgment is performed<br />
after heating operated for 15 minutes in 50 minutes<br />
before set ON-time. This is because it makes start-up<br />
time short when outdoor air temperature is extremely<br />
low in midwinter.<br />

1. When the power supply is cut off during the operation of air conditioner, the compressor will re-operate within three to four<br />
minutes (there are 10 patterns between 2 minutes 58 seconds and 3 minutes 52 seconds to be selected randomly) after power<br />
supply resumes.<br />
2. This type of control is not applicable during ON/OFF Timer setting.<br />
