Member News Congratulations to the following Guild members who had their work accepted for the Mike Horn Memorial Award Exhibition “Geometry in Art” at the Art Alliance of Monmouth County, June 6 - June 27, 2012 Donna Zimmerman Arvelo, Andrew Dennis, Vince Matulewich, Donald W. Robinson, Cecilia Swatton, and Marilyn Baldi who won the Mike Horn Memorial Award for her work titled Center City Congratulations to the following Guild members who had their work accepted for the juried photography exposition "Patterns in Nature" at the Belmar Arts Council, June 9 - July 6, 2012: Marilyn Baldi, Vicky Culver (2), Vince Matulewich (2), Joan Myers (2) and Wendy Ritch Joan Myers was awarded First Place for her photograph Expressions of a Tree Renna Abadi’s collage Napoleon was accepted into the “Art from Found Objects” juried exhibit at the Monmouth Museum which runs from June 1 st through September 2 nd Karen Cohen’s Serendipity, Too is on display at the West Long Branch Public Library through June 30 th Vicky Culver’s “Flower Bridge” has been accepted into the Salmagundi Club’s Annual Non-Member Graphics and Photography show at the Denise Bibro Gallery of Fine Art, 529 W. 20 th Street, New York from August 1 -10, with an opening reception on Thursday August 2 nd from 6-8 pm. She will be displaying her wearable items during Asbury Artists’ Night at the Paint Place, 605 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park, on July 7 th from 7-9 pm, and also in the jewelry case at the Oceanic Free Library in Rumson during the month of August, with an opening reception on Friday, August 3 rd from 6-8 pm Lisa Grob's painting received the Award of Excellence at the Garden State Watercolor Society All Member Show which was held this May in Stockton, NJ. Sol Hara will be exhibiting a collection of his pastel paintings at the Ocean Township Library on Deal Road from July 22 nd until August 23 rd . The reception is Sunday, July 22 nd from 2:00 to 4:00. The theme: “My Travels in Pastel”. Bernadette Sabatini won first prize in the "Blooming Beauty" flower themed juried art show in May at the Middletown Arts Center, Middletown, NJ.
