v 31 “your enemies, Yahweh” is emended to
 “the enemies of Yahweh.”
Five by-forms are recognized which do not require emendation.
In 5:10, is read as a by-form of “young,” and in 5:11,
appears as a metathetic variant of cognate South Arabic
with the change of to , MT in 5:16 is read as the infinitive
of / “to look at, to gaze.” In 5:22, is read as
a by-form of “to be at a distance, to retreat.” The second
of 5:22, with the metathesis of the and , is read
“his chariot.” In 5:8, is read as the metathetic variant of
Arabic ^ ?H (= )“to be courageous.”
