Welcome to the world of TWINLINE!
TWINLINE saw the light of day in the year 2006. Before that there was a lot of development
to do: We asked consumers what they wanted; engineers and designers racked their brains
over the best solutions. And shortly after TWINLINE’s start on the market it was clear to us:
Our idea of a combination shower and bathtub would be a winner! Meanwhile, the concept
has proved successful, and Artweger was able to establish a completely new product category
with the TWINLINE: the shower-bathtub. And because as everyone knows success inspires, we
can now introduce to you an addition to the TWINLINE family - TWINLINE 2.
To each his own bath as desired.
Tub? Or shower? Many of you know how it is: The space in the bathroom is often just too
small for both. With TWINLINE you don’t need to decide because TWINLINE makes room for
both! And that’s good. Because having to do without a full bath is not for everyone. Some
people may be more the “shower type”, for whom it often has to go a little faster - but very
few want to forgo a full bath completely! And the “bathtub types” see their bathroom as their

Bath or
shower?
Some people prefer taking a bath, others prefer a shower. Why is that?
Is it simply a matter of taste? Or is there more to it?
Does modern medicine perhaps have a plausible explanation?
We went to the bottom of it and asked someone who should know:
Dr. Bernhard Strobl, general practitioner in the world-famous
spa resort Bad Ischl and certified spa physician.
Dr. Strobl, you are a spa doctor in Bad Ischl. An
obvious question: What is your basic evaluation on the
issue of “taking a bath and taking a shower”?
Dr. Strobl: Young people often prefer a shower; it’s
a matter of time. With them things often have to go
fast. Older people would rather spend more time and
take a bath. But ultimately many decide on a shower
simply due to lack of space.
What are the advantages of showers?
Dr. Strobl: Showers are practical: They’re quick,
so they take little time, protect the environment and
save energy and resources.
Who should rather take a bath?
Dr. Strobl: Well - whoever prefers full baths should
not do without them. One simply owes it to one’s wellbeing.
There are also plenty of other reasons why a
full bath can be recommended: when by administering
additives a therapeutic effect is to be achieved, for
example as part of a therapy for dry skin. Or as a
heat therapy for rheumatic complaints. Or simply to
increase one’s personal well-being - for instance with
aroma therapy.
Who should rather not take a bath?
Dr. Strobl: Those with cardiovascular problems
should ask their doctor if taking a bath is OK for
them, or whether they should rather avoid it.
What are the medical (therapeutic) benefits of
taking a bath?
Health tips from the expert
Dr. Strobl: Baths are relaxing. Soothing. Circulationenhancing.
And through the use of additives they can
be used very well for therapeutic purposes.
Can you give us some examples of how one can
improve the positive effect of a bath?
Dr. Strobl: There are a number of useful possibilities
- that one can also conveniently apply at home: by the
addition of substances used in spas such as a mud
bath or Dead Sea bath salts. Lipid-replenishing oil
baths in turn are useful in, for example, certain skin
diseases. It is best to simply ask your family doctor
what is good for you...
And finally a very personal question: What do you
prefer - shower or bath?
Dr. Strobl: Shower! But for relaxing after skiing or
cycling a bath in a whirlpool simply can’t be beat!

the TWINLINE, which was developed
in 2006 and has become

Tinka and Pia are twins. They are the models for the new TWIN-
LINE 2’s entry into the market. The extraordinary point: We did
not find them with a model agency, but through our online casting, the
“TWINS Challenge 2010”.
What was your reaction when
you learned that you got the
photo job?
Tinka: We were totally surprised
that we won because we entered
relatively late!
Pia: Besides we thought we didn’t
have a chance anyway - with the
strong competition we had!
And what do you think of the
twin idea?
Tinka: Fun...
Pia: ... but also actually very
logical. Presenting a product
called TWINLINE with twins - the
“double” benefits are demonstrated
very well!
How was the shooting itself?
After all you’re not professional
models...
Pia: There were actually two
shootings - one just for the portraits
for the magazine - with a
photographer in Linz. She really
managed to motivate even us
non-pros - and the photos turned
out absolutely fantastic - thank

versus showers?
Tinka: In fact we love both - and
because we spend half our life in
our bathroom - well, almost - we
make sure we have an atmosphere
we feel good in... a cuddly bathrobe
and scented candles for
example are an absolute must!
Pia: ... bathed in warm light,
decorated nicely - then the
bathroom is an ideal place to
retreat!
Tinka: After a stressful day it’s
just nice for me to be able to plunge
into fragrant bath water like
Cleopatra!
Pia: For me it doesn’t always
have to be a full bath - if I’m in
a hurry, a jump in the shower is
also quite a real treat for me!

In cooperation with the international

Vogel & Noot, Artweger made
designs for the TWINLINE 2
that are specially tailored to the
bathroom radiator. The goal
was to develop ensembles of
the tub skirts and bathroom
radiators that complement
each other ideally in material
and design. For this, a special
paint surface was used.

technical details that make TWINLINE’s operation particularly easy, safe and comfortable.
Straight lines of the tub with extra
widening in the shower area for comfort
while showering.
The special continuous door gasket
ensures a permanent and complete
sealing of the TWINLINE 2...
The mechanical lock is coupled with the
drain. In the position “shower” the drain
and the door lock are opened.
The door handle is fitted with slip-resistant,
rubberised sides and bottom....

Extra deep tub for extensive full baths.
... even during a full bath.
If the lock is moved to the position
“bath”, the drain closes and the door is
locked. A full bath is only possible with
the door locked.
...and can be operated comfortably while
standing.
The optional water inlet is discreetly
integrated into the tub form. The water
gushes into the tub as from a spring.
The shower door saves space by opening
to the inside and allows easy access for
taking a shower or bath.
The hinges of the TWINLINE 2 are
bonded to the glass exterior making
the glass interior completely flat and
especially easy to clean.
The extra-large high-flow drain is
particularly easy to clean.
