Courses & Satellite Workshops
The scientific programme features five courses. Three satellite
workshops are offered focusing on “hot” topics in paediatrics.
In order to strengthen the interactivity of these sessions, they will
be offered to a limited number of participants on a pre-registration
basis.
The cost for each course is 35 € and for each satellite workshop
15 €. The total income generated by the registration fees for the
congress’s Courses and Workshops will be donated to Lobby4Kids.
Lobby4Kids is an Austrian non-profit organisation that was founded
in 2005 in Vienna and is lobbying for ill and handicapped children
and their families all over Austria. The aim of the organisation is
the promotion of health as described in the WHO-Charter of 1986,
focused on the special needs of ill, chronically ill and handicapped
children and children who are threatened by disease.
The organisation is a support group and consists mainly of affected
families, big partner organisations including other support groups
for children and paediatricians offering their consultation as a
scientific advisory council. Lobby4Kids offers help and support by
building a social network for affected families and existing support
organisations and by sensitising politicians and the public in general
about the needs of chronically ill and handicapped children and
their families.
