Every year in December, the Greater West Chester Chamber of
Commerce hosts its holiday toy-drive breakfast. New unwrapped
are given to nonprofi t organizations that work with families and
individuals in our community.
This year, the Chamber is proud to announce a major
expansion of the program. In partnership with WSFS Bank, the
2011 Old-Fashioned Christmas Toy Drive will collect toys starting
Nov. 1-Dec. 3 at the following WSFS Bank branch locations:
West Chester, Edgemont, Media, Longwood and Glen Mills
(Participating branch addresses can be found below. For hours,
Wells Fargo wants to be the best bank in Pennsylvania, with all the
advantages of a great coast-to-coast bank. One of the ways that
they demonstrate their local commitment is through community
involvement. Providing support to their communities and helping them
succeed has been part of the company culture since Wells Fargo was
founded in 1852. They continue that tradition today as a proud sponsor of The MARS
Drinks Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade.
Community involvement is one of Wells Fargo’s core values. As a community–
based organization, they believe they have a responsibility to promote economic
prosperity and a better quality of life for everyone in the communities they serve.
There has never been a thriving bank in a struggling community.
At Wells Fargo, the goal is to help all customers succeed fi nancially. That means
extending credit to help businesses grow, providing loans that help people buy
homes and automobiles, and helping customers fi nd the best way to save for their
children’s education or their retirement. It means working to help customers with
fi nancial hardships stay in their homes and providing a fi nancial education to
children and adults to help them achieve their goals.
And it means participating in the celebrations and traditions that make the
communities special—like this Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade.
• Friends Association for the Care and Protection of Children.
Friends Association is committed to helping homeless or
near-homeless families stabilize their lives and fi nd or maintain
permanent housing. Through the Friends shelter and homeless
prevention programs, it addresses a wide range of needs,
focusing on families with children, who are the unintended
victims of homelessness. Donations can include educational
toys like puzzles, arts-and-crafts sets, and activity books,
plus gift cards to Kmart, Walmart and Target for older children.
All donations will help to put a smile on the face of a child
who may otherwise not receive anything. So reach deep into your
heart and stop by a participating WSFS Bank Branch with a toy.
Or bring your donation to the Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade.
Together, we can make a difference!
