Martin Conroy<br />

Martin L. Conroy, 77 of Savage, died on Sunday, Feb. 11, 1990 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in<br />

Minneapolis. Mr. Conroy was born on May 22, 1912 in Spring Lake Township, Scott County, the son of<br />

Michael and Bridget (Carroll) Conroy. He married Florence <strong>Klein</strong> on June 5, 1946 in Chanhassen. He was a<br />

farmer in Burnsville, Farmington and Savage.<br />

Survivors include his wife, Florence, one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Debbie; one grandson; a<br />

brother, Anthony of Prior Lake; two sisters, Margaret Egan of Prior Lake and <strong>The</strong>resa O’Keefe of Savage,<br />

nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son Laurence, granddaughter Jennie, his parents, a sister,<br />

Nellie, and two brothers, John and Coleman. Mass of Christian Burial took place Feb. 14 at St. John the<br />

Baptist Church in Savage, with the Rev. Peter Wittman officiating. Interment was in St. John the Baptist<br />

Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Price, Larry Ryan and Lawrence Tutewohl. Pallbearers were Rick<br />

Bird, Dick Colwell, Pat Phillips, Ken Schroeder, Jim Simmons and Benny Van Cleve.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Cavanaugh-McNearney Funeral Home in Shakopee was in charge of funeral arrangements.<br />

Florence A. Conroy<br />

Conroy Florence A., age 87, of Savage. Survived by son, Tom & wife Debbie; grandson, John, all of<br />

Farmington; sister, Mary (Clarence) Schleicher of Circle Pines; sister-in-law, Anita <strong>Klein</strong> of Chaska. Preceded<br />

in death by husband, Marty; son, Larry; granddaughter, Jenny; parents, William & Mary (Thul) <strong>Klein</strong>; 3<br />

brothers, Joe, Willis and Francis; sisters, Bernie Hartman and Laura Fourre. Mass of Christian Burial Monday,<br />

11 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savage. Interment St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Visitation at<br />

the church Sunday, 3-5 pm, and one hour prior to the Mass on Monday. <strong>The</strong> family prefers memorials to St.<br />
