arrangements with the donor are to be made
by the buyer.
No Refunds, Exchanges or Substitutions
There are no refunds, exchanges or substitutions
unless noted otherwise in the catalog.
Vouchers have no cash value.
Catalogs, Table and Bid Numbers
Table and bid numbers will be assigned at
check-in where catalogs are received.
Purchases
Transactions are conducted by bid number.
You are responsible for all purchases made
on your bid number. Values set forth opposite
some of the items being auctioned are estimates
only and are not warranted by
Spectacular for tax purposes or general value.
Live Auction
The Live Auction will begin at 7:45 p.m. and
continue until all items have been sold.
Purchases are made by bid number. The
auctioneer’s decision will be final. Successful
bidders must furnish the “Ring Men” with their
bid number immediately after each sale for
the clerk’s record. Successful bidders will be
notified at their table. Live Auction packages
cannot be altered, changed or customized
beyond what is described in the catalog. ALL
AUCTION ITEMS AND SERVICES MUST BE
USED WITHIN ONE YEAR.
Silent Auction
The Silent Auction booths open upon arrival.
Each has a different closing time; these times
are noted at each booth and in the catalog.
Each increase must equal or exceed the minimum
increase figure stated on the bid sheet
to constitute a valid bid. Items in the Silent
Auction may be bid on until that section is
closed. Enter your bid number next to the
appropriate bid amount.
Guarantee Your Purchase
See an item in the Silent Auction that you
really want? To own an item, place your bid
number in the Guaranteed Purchase Box at
the top of the bid sheet. You have paid a premium
to purchase the item. This supersedes
any bid that might be placed on the item.

General Auction Information
Vacation Homes
Vacation homes are not transferable and are
donated for adults or families only under the
terms and limitations described in the catalog.
Pay at Bank
Pay for all purchases at the Bank. Cash,
checks, MasterCard and Visa accepted.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates should be picked up at the
Bank after payment. Buyers are responsible
for finalizing all arrangements with the donors
for items and services. ALL CERTIFICATES
EXPIRE APRIL 19, 2009, UNLESS OTHER-
WISE SPECIFIED.
Pick-Up of Purchased Items
NO ITEM MAY LEAVE THE PREMISES
WITHOUT BEING PAID IN FULL. Staff will
be posted at the exit checking for receipts
marked PAID by the Bank.
Pick up of Large Items
Pick up large items on Sunday, April 20, from
10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rockhurst. Staff will
help with large items. Rockhurst will make no
deliveries.
Unclaimed Items
Rockhurst is not responsible for items not
picked up within 24 hours after the auction.
Tax Laws on Charitable Donations
Written substantiation from the tax-exempt
organization is required for all deductions of
$250 or more claimed by an individual.
Separate payments generally will be treated
as separate contributions and will not be
aggregated for the purposes of applying the
$250 threshold. Regulations do not impose
an information-reported requirement upon the
charity; the responsibility is the taxpayer’s.
However, each buyer will receive a statement
itemizing all purchases after the auction. The
deductible amount is the price paid over the
designated value of the item. The nondeductible
portion of each dinner reservation
is $50.
